Glad you're enjoying it. I ask that you try to keep your thoughts in one post if possible. You can always edit your last post if you'd like to add something to it instead of making 3 different posts.

Thank you! Have fun.

Apologies. I am not awake 24/7. Have been on/off trying to contain it since it came to my attention. We are considering changing the posting requirements for the sub until this attack is over.

Hello,

Yes! PC Gamepass and Steam users can play multiplayer together. In order to be able to connect, Steam users need to opt-in to the Stellaris_test branch.

Right click Stellaris, go to properties > betas tab, and pick stellaris_test from the drop down. Hope this helps.

It is being handled. No need to make a thread about it.

I'm going to lock this before it turns into one of those back and forth arguments that never ends.

Didn't look like a joke, and it was the first post of the thread where you encouraged piracy (which is against the rules).

Your exact words:

Thank you.

There is a sizeable (a few thousand members) Stellaris Multiplayer Discord Community. "Weekend Stellaris Club". They play every week. You could try poking them. :) stellaris.gg

If you tried that and ran a file integrity check, and it's not helping, just hit up PDX's helpdesk: https://support.paradoxplaza.com/hc/en-us

They usually solve that kind of issues quickly!

I find that occasionally, some anti-virus and firewall software can false-flag updated Stellaris exe as "unrecognized" or a "threat". Try checking it out. Maybe it's been isolated. :)

If you're on a 32 bit system, you will have to roll back to 2.2.7, as we have switched Stellaris to 64 bit.

If you're on Windows 7 or 8, update to the latest possible version. Also if you are not on the latest version of .net framework, update that as well. Disable any antivirus for first launch. That has resolved it for most.

Try a verify file integrity, and disable ALL mods until they can be updated to 2.3. Even the ones you think couldn't possibly break anything, because believe me, they can.

Hi all, I'm the Stellaris producer. Quick update:

For those on getting failure to launch on the stellaris_test branch on Linux, either opt out of that beta branch, or do the following:

Start Stellaris through the terminal, or a by adding the "-nolauncher" startup command. This can be done by right-clicking on Stellars in the steam library, click on properties and then click on Set Launch Options and enter "-nolauncher"

There's some weird config stuff going on. We are looking at more permanent solutions and will get those out as soon as possible, but here's a way you can play in the meantime.

I would recommend about 30k fleet with heavy ant-armor weapons focus. :)

Frontier systems are basically non-sector systems. AFAIK, the team has plans to give them specifically some more unique flavor in the future.

I can only tell you to read the dev diary I linked before. This one: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/stellaris-dev-diary-147-an-update-on-sectors-designations.1175704/

Our game director has outlined his plans for future sector updates and some control over fine tuning them is on that roadmap. It won't be the same as pre 2.2 build. AFAIK, the goal is a compromise between hands-on tuning and reduction in micromanagement.
