OH. Uhh.. I'm not sure about that. You can try running Steam as an admin, maybe? But that seems like its something you'd need to contact Steam support for.

Originally posted by Fabiaville: this is not an issue in the game. i've not launched anything of the game. it is an issue with the patch download (i did state this on the opening).

My apologies. As above, try running Steam as a... Read more

You can also choose Windowed or Borderless Fullscreen in the launcher. :)

I suspect this is a launcher issue. A few things you can try:

1) Run Steam as an Admin
2) Add Paradox Launcher v2 and Stellaris as whitelisted in any antivirus you might be using. (You can temporarily disable the active protection to see if this will help)
3) Uninstall Paradox Launcher v2, and then restart the game. The game will then redownload and reinstall the launcher. Restart it a second time to let it finish updating.
4) Open a ticket at support.paradoxplaza.com.

Hope this helps!

Is this in the launcher or in the game?

Its a partial reversion of that fix, yes. Its a case where edge cases could cause unintended consequences.

We are investigating reports that some users are experiencing stuttering and performance issues when running on 3.3.3. We have enabled the 3.3.2 rollback branch for those of you experiencing stuttering and performance issues after the latest patch.

To roll back: right-click Stellaris, go to Properties, Betas tab and choose "3.3.2 Libra Rollback" from the drop-down.

This video shows Stellaris running on the Steam deck. It does take some time to load, and no promises on how fast it will run as I haven't tried it out myself, but I'm excited to try! :D

Wide is still more powerful than tall. Its simply that you need to build more researchers to get the same tech progress as previously, which is fine, because you're wide, and you have more space. :)

The game does not close, it stuck on the loading screen.

3.3.x no longer runs on Ubuntu 16 or 18 due to needing newer GLIB versions. The minimum requirement to run Stellaris 3.3.x is now Ubuntu 20.04 or higher.

It's likely a launcher issue. 9/10 times, failure to launch is caused by the display settings.

In the launcher, go to game settings and choose borderless fullscreen or windowed display mode. You can also try uninstalling Paradox Launcher v2 via Add/Remove Programs, then relaunch Stellaris, and it automatically redownload it.

If those two things don't work, go to support.paradoxplaza.com and open a ticket.

Hope this helps!
