While I'm not 100% sure it is causing your problem, this game is not supported on Intel video hardware so I don't think we're going to be able to fix this here I'm sorry.

Whether updates to Mesa or Intel video drivers might help I'm not sure; it might be worth taking this up with Arch or Mesa support - the nature of the problem might suggest to them where the problem is.

Good luck with that!

Please attach here the latest log from the game :
/home/[UserName]/.local/share/Surviving Mars/logs/

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

While I'm not a console player, they do seem to need to have that done every now and then.

Glad that helped, all the best!

Please try this:

- uninstall the game from the PS4

- clear the PS4 cache and game files (save game data)

- rebuild its cache:

Please try a .NET repair:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/install/repair

And a system file check:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-au...er-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system

If those don't get the game running I'm frankly out of ideas here, I am sorry.

You definitely installed the Microsoft update KB4019990 ? Because I don't see it listed in there.

Other apps and utilities that I can see might cause problems:
C:\Program Files\KLIM AIM Gaming Mouse\KLIM AIM Gaming Mouse.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Razer_Kraken0502_Driver\Drivers\SysAudio\Kraken0502Helper.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Synapse\RzSynapse.exe
C:\Program Files\Nefarius Software Solutions\ScpToolkit\ScpService.exe
C:\Program Files\Nefarius Software Solutions\ScpToolkit\ScpTrayApp.exe
Can you unload or kill those and see if you still get this problem please?

Did those installers run okay? Any errors or problems?

Install and run the free utility Speccy. Send its output to a text file and attach that here please.

Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\ and run dxsetup.exe
Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015\ and run vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe

Run the Windows Updater app and apply everything it finds to apply.

Then manually install the Microsoft update KB4019990

I suggest you check step 4 and 5 on this page as that could be the issue:

Has the game ever run okay on this computer? Or never yet?

Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\ and run dxsetup.exe
Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015\ and run vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe

If that doesn't help, Please attach here the latest (ONLY!) game log file, from here:
C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\logs\

Plus, DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Thanks for finding that! I haven't yet got my own copy on this platform.

From that log I'm pretty sure this is a bug, and I see we now have another report in this forum.

@Azurespecter is this something you can pick up and run with?

Anything in the log?
C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\logs\

Make sure the game's executable (I assume it's not called MarsSteam.exe?) is in the exceptions list/whitelist of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

B M Perry said: Seems that Mac crashes and game breaking bugs are simply being ignored as far as I can tell. I thought the purpose of these forums was for Paradox to interact with players who are having issues with their game, but game-breaking issues like this are getting 0 response. Really disappointed to purchase a game that doesn't work and then be ignored by paradox while they release fixes for minor issues.
The developers Haemimont do read these forums and are aware of these Mac issues. They don't post much here as that's time spent away from development, pleas... Read more

That log only shows the game starting up, no crash or save. Can you find a log that shows the problem please?
