Read moreI was in your shoes exactly a week ago so let me give you my experience. First of all, old gear is no longer a factor but don’t just dismantle it. Go to the recalibration system. They’ve added a new system where you can pull stats and talents from gear to have it permanently stored and ready to use on any gear of the same type, as many times as you want. So dump all your old gear there and most of the new gear you get that you don’t use.
Second, finish the warlords campaign asap because the new endgame revolves around XP as much as loot. So don’t waste xp doing side work or grinds that you could do after you finish the campaign.
Third there is a new raid type level in New York called The Summit. You get to choose what targeted loot spawns there making grinding so much easier
Fourth, they’ve added a global difficulty setting from the map. So if you change the global difficulty to challenging you would only ever get gold drops or better (except from non-comb...
This is a pretty concise way to begin your journey to New York!

You can play co-op as long as you are on the same platform. There's lots of fun to be had with friends!

If you have both games then there is no harm in playing chronologically. :) Many sing the praises of the world in Div 1, so it would be a shame to miss it!
It sounds strange that a particular weapon could be causing a disconnect. What platform are you on? And have you tried any sort of troubleshooting such as restarting your router to see if this persists with the Scorpio equipped?
You are allowed to hold a specialization weapon and an exotic. Do you have an exotic equipped that you are unaware of?

Your best bet to get the Bullet King would be either farming LMG targeted loot, or by setting it manually in The Summit.
After that it is all down to luck!

If you launch the game from the Epic launcher, then that definitely would be an Epic copy of the game, which means the DLC would not work properly if you purchase it on Ubisoft Connect.
Your best bet would be to either purchase the DLC on Epic to ensure everything works
or
Purchase the WONY edition of the game on Connect for the discounted rate. If you do that, you will be able to launch the game from Connect directly and still maintain your save file, as it will be through the same Ubisoft connect account.
