Considering there is no way to save as you go. So perhaps fix the problem, or let people save and restart for a limited number of saves per level until you can fix the game. Was just getting into this game - now all my progress for the last hour+ is gone and it won't let me play. Drivers up to date, Windows up to date. I've done all the stupid things.

Save option is not an option, so please, could you copy the lines in your ZXLog file after the crash to check if we can see where the problem is.
Thanks.

At random times in whether my game is booting up or half way through a game my game crashes but i can still hear the game audio but then after about 10 seconds it takes me to desktop and totally shuts down the game resolving in a message popping up saying send crash report i have previously been on this chat already and have have followed all of the basic troubleshooting and it still happens even after all of this can you help please as this is getting extremely frustrating.
dannazgui said: Hey, nothing of that worked for me.......Sorry about that, I should have seen that didn't apply to you.
I don't understand what caused this, since I have been playing since launch ( some 100 hours already)
I hope the next updates fix this issue, I'm using the game through Steam...

To try and make it simpler I cleared out all my old logs and just started a fresh session.
The session is like i described above. Game froze for some time, then after a short while i was able to move around, but not interact with anything. There was no associated crash file.

Originally posted by Zeritel: There was one before i cleared out all my logs...but generally it's just this freeze and cannot interact scenarioWe have identified an issue where it can cause freeze, and will have a patch ready shortly.
Originally posted by Zeritel: Perfect looking forward to it.Do you mean if your friend interact with the portal, you can see the loading screen right when they presses F and you can interact with others once loading is completed?
One additional point that I discovered, which may be helpful. Is that after the game has frozen, and entered the part where i can move but cant interact, if my friends interact with the portal to go over to the next zone (the one with the 30 second countdown) then i'll get a loading screen over to the zone and the game will recover.

Hey @The-Reaper
if you haven’t already, please submit a ticket through to Support so we can look into this further for you.
If you can attach any relevant videos or screenshots to the ticket, that will also be extremely helpful!

Hey there @nannywarbucks ,
Thank you for reaching out to us, sorry to hear you're experiencing crashes!
I've been able to locate the case you created and check your files and have a few further steps for you to try.
Checking your GPU drivers, they do appear outdated (unless the DxDiag was generated before you updated them, in which case could you please provide a fresh DxDiag file?).
You can download the latest driver for your GPU on the AMD site here.
I've also noticed a multitude of other program crashes, namely Armoury Agent.
Could you please perform a System File Scan on your PC, to ensure your OS and System is healthy and no core files are missing or corrupted.
Please let us know how you get on with these and update your case with new files should the issue then continue so we can take a further look.
Thank you!
Thanks for the update @nannywarbucks !
Taking another look, I can see that you run Overwolf on your PC.
This program has been known to cause software conflicts in the past so for testing could you please uninstall Overwolf before retrying the game and let us know if there's any change?
Thanks for letting me know @nannywarbucks , sorry to hear that also hasn't done the trick.
If you could upload a new MSinfo to your case, just so we can view it with Overwolf visibly uninstalled and we'll go onto further steps.
Hey @nannywarbucks ,
Thank you for getting back to us, that's fantastic to hear!
Glad to know you're finally back up and running!
If there's ever anything more we can help with at all, please don't hesitate to get back in touch here or via your case.
Take care!
Oh no @NannyWarbucks , I'm sorry to hear that was so short lived!
Let's have another crack at it!
Do you have both the game and Ubisoft Connect installed on the same drive?
It may also be worth checking the %TEMP% files for the game as well as clearing them.
And I'd also recommend monitoring your PC's CPU / GPU usage and temperatures while the game runs until it crashes, to see if there's any temperature or usage spikes.
Let us know how you get on with these!
@nightmarepet If you have tried what inxcognito suggested, can you confirm if rolling back your GPU drivers has resolved the issue with the game crashing?
This might help for now!
Hey @louandrew,
Sorry to hear that you are encountering this crashing issue.
You mentioned you have already followed some troubleshooting, can I check what steps you have already tried so that we don't cover steps you have already attempted?
Many thanks,
@louandrew Sorry to hear this. Could you have a look at our Basic PC Troubleshooting guide, making sure to verify your game files?
Another important step to take when you're experiencing these crashes is to make sure that your game and launcher(s) are on the same drive, preferably the hard drive.
If after you've gone through the steps, you're still having issues with performance, please reach out to us via one of the methods below with copies of your MSINFO and DXDiag. Please include a brief description of your issue.
If you're contacting us through Twitter or Facebook, make sure to also include your Ubisoft username and email address when submitting your ticket, so that we can ensure we're looking at the correct account.
Hi @ondra-kudrna159 I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing crashes whilst playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Could you take a look at the PC troubleshooting article and run through all the steps listed then try again. The support article contains some of the most common fixes for crashes, freezing, FPS drops and more.
Please confirm if this resolves the issue.
Hey there @Locoplaya92,
I understand you're experiencing crashes since the release of the latest DLC of Anno 1800. To attempt to resolve this issue, I'd recommend following all the steps from this article, regarding the troubleshooting of technical issues on PC. These should help your PC run the game smoothly
Firstly, please perform a "Check and Repair" and see if that helps you. Sometimes an install has a weird file or whatever and a checkover can find the issue.
You can find it here on the Launcher:
If you still have issues, please contact Customer Support!
We are aware and are working on it. Leaving the sound turned ON after you reinstalled should help in the meantime. Additionally, not using any apps that play sound (looking at you, Spotify) seems to help as well.
