That's a shame; I'm pretty sure if you install a different driver version that will help.

I know the RealTek support site is a nightmare to navigate, but can you try to get a later driver installed from there please?

Has it ever worked on this machine? Or never yet?

If you run eu4.exe directly from File Explorer does it start that way? If not do you see a Windows error?

In Windows are you using any mouse software or settings, like Mouse Trails? If so please set the cursor to the default Windows setting before starting the game.

or something older or newer?

You're not running any video capture or streaming software are you? If so try unloading that.

Please uninstall the RTKVHD64.sys audio driver then reboot.

Windows will detect the hardware with no driver. Accept that , let it install, then reboot again.

Does that help?

In the game launcher please set Display mode to Borderless. THEN go here:

Can you do a test install on any other machine you might have access to? that will tell you if this isa. bug or an installation problem.

If there are no mods in use in this campaign, and it crashes predictably on a given date, that's almost certainly a game bug.

Please make a new thread in Bug Rports and attach that save there for QA to look into.

Then put that save aside and try it as you see new patches come out.

Sorry but we in tech support cannot read dump files, only the developers can do that. Your channel to them is in the Bug Reports forum here.

But try this first:
Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.

Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

THEN test with a new campaign, not any existing one. ANy better?

I am sory but I know nothng about mods. Your best source of help for that is the User Mods forum here, post an affected save game there and a list of what mods you use.

We can't help with modded games here I'm afraid. Do you get this problem in a campaign that's never had any mods used in it?

I am sorry they have not set up that forum appropriately for your situation. I don't know why that is, it was done for say Stellaris-console.

Nevertheless, that is the official Bug Reports forum for this game and the only way to get reports to the developers. I cannot do that from here.

Can you make your reports there anyway please, and use the free text fields to explain your setup and situation and problem.

You have your Windows User Documents folder held in OneDrive, that is MS's cloud. If there is any problem with accessing that - it is not syncing, you are offline, etc - then this will happen.

Do you actually want your documents held up there? If not it would be best to change the Windows settings so your Windows User Documents folder is held in the default location C:/users/{userName}/Documents

I'm afraid none of these issues are things we in tech support can deal with.

Some look like good candidates for the Bug Report forum (one thread per bug please), others are perhaps best suited to the Suggestions forum.

Hard to see why the sound setup would affect the map.

You could try deleting everything in the Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4 folders except any valued save games.

Indeed - we cannot gift you a second copy of all those items, we'd have to buy them from Steam to give to you.

I'm sorry your account got hacked but this will have to be sorted out between you and Steam.
