I really don’t think I am…

Look, maybe I should put it this way:

NB’s for ribbons or damage heavily favor certain styles of ship, while BXP does not. It could legitimately alter the Randoms meta more than is acceptable if BXP is not the most common variant. A Shimakaze who x3 solo caps and lands 5 torpedoes for 2 kills has zero chance of earning a NB threshold based on ribbons, but arguably did FAR more for his team than a Harugumo who accrued x500 ribbons by spamming HE at a Krem he mostly can’t pen and doing 140k damage overall. BXP is a more consistent indicator of how effective you were than an arbitrary number like ribbons or even damage.

That being said, it is a perfectly fine point to bring up that Coop-focused clans will struggle to achieve the required base xp levels to compete properly in Randoms.

My personal answer on that point is that Naval Battles are clan-to-clan somewhat-passive competition. As Random...

I am of the understanding, though have not had it confirmed, that BXP is the standard and variety was introduced to spice it up a bit and make it different. That difference was sometimes ribbons and sometimes damage, but BXP is the standard.

Base XP is a great indicator of a player’s involvement in a match and is harder to “game” than the other two. For example:

If Naval Battles are damage: people can bring flame-throwers and farm fires.

If the Naval battles are ribbons, people can spam secondary ships or Dakka Dakka’s like the Smolensk. Easy peasy lemon-squeezy.

Base XP is much more standardized - unless you’re a CV and then you’re at a disadvantage.

I don’t have an answer as to why Naval Battles seem to have been more often BXP rather than ribbons or damage. In my experience it has always been skewed that way.

I have already brought this up in our global QnA to see if we can come to a solution as quickly as possible.

Nothing happens overnight, so I’m going to have to ask for your patience on this. :)

To what are you referring?

You saw Canaria 3 months ago in a game?

I assure you - I have read these feelings over and over and over again in the cacophany of threads made in the last week.
I have reported back to my team in NA the feelings and guess what - I even go further and I steel-man the weaker arguments to make sure the strongest criticism of game design and concern about imbalances reaches as high as it can possibly go.
I literally go through these threads, hear your concerns, and then make the arguments better for some of you and pass them to my boss.

It's ok, Duck - I don't have any feelings.

This is basically a personal attack and against forum rules. You're calling me a pig in lipstick. You're saying my post is crap. You're accusing me of gaslighting..
This is exactly what I'm talking about. Calm down and don't break forum rules...

Brother I'm not telling you to get out. I'd like you to stay. I just don't want you to be miserable about things that maybe aren't worth misery.
Look - when the commander rework happened earlier this year I was MISERABLE about secondaries. It's silly, really - as secondaries weren't supposed to be a primary tool. They have always been a "secondary" tool (pun intended) like torpedoes on BB's / CA's to back up the main armament. They were never "competitive", but they were fun. The Commander rework borked secondaries further and I was livid. They improved by being able to fire from both sides and further than before even with manual, but they were less accurate and therefore basically unusable. I was so upset that I actually considered leaving the CC program for a hot minute because I just couldn't understand WHY this was done and pitched as "improving" them.
But rather than blow up in the CC feedback channel, I made a case: I stated that the aim of the rework...

Everybody has their threshold for how a game progresses.
If you truly believe that World of Warships has made so many mistakes that it's unforgivable then you are welcome to think that. It begs the question why you're here trying to pitch that...
I have been playing 4 years, played competitively for 2, streamed for 1.5, was a CC for 1, and now work for the company. While I was annoyed with, even upset by a lot of choices (x2 CV's in Clan Battles pissed me RIGHT off), I'm still here because I like the game. I like getting into my shooty-pixel-bote and shooting your shooty-pixel-bote.
When I'm upset about something I make my case for why it upsets me and I try to get it changed. If I realize that's never going to happen, I weight how much it bothers me against how much fun I still have.
I'm still here and having a good time.

Hello to the OP!
I was one of three leaders for Clan TNG for a year. My job was recruitment. It is a thankless job. Here's what I can share about how recruitment works:
Drawing Tools for Non-Competitive Clans:

Port Facilities

Active social scene with people consistently on a voice-channel in Teamspeak or Discord or w/e you use.

Clan Themes (We all like X, Y, Z so we play together and talk about it or rename ourselves in-line with that culture etc...)

Opportunities for divisions throughout the day.

Participating in low-stakes modes like Clan Brawl.

Having an active discord for social interaction and steer that towards in-game acitivities.

Tools for MOAR Competitive Clans

A list of activities your clan has competed in and where you ended (Clan Battle ranking / leagues - Clan Brawl Wins - KOTS placement etc...)

This entire thread is borderline.
Guys....
Look, there has been a lot of emotion on the forum about subs and other things recently and that's fine. Emotions get wrapped up in games because we LIKE the games and we care about the path the games take. No problem. What begins to be a problem is when we can't express it in any way other than slinging mud at each other. The moderators have put in overtime to help keep things civil and I'm grateful for their presence. We hide comments that are aimed at escalating tensions between individuals. That's just how it's going to be.
The moderating team here has very clear instructions that they are not censoring people's dislike, distrust, or even anger towards / of Wargaming. That's not their job and so they don't do that. Their job is to make sure no one steps over the lines when interacting with each other and they do it well. Don't turn your ire on them, please.
Hate subs all you want, hate the peop...

So, if I understand correctly - you fellas are asking if this is coming back?
Or are you saying that you watched more than enough to acquire the drops, but you haven't got them?

Also - while it's not a full tutorial, there was an article on the main page that at least explains the functionality: https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/general-news/dutch-cruisers-early-access/
The bombs that are dropped have HE penetration thresholds just like all HE bombs, have damage, and can light fires. Think of them sort of like the HE carpet bombs from British CV's.

I'm afraid I don't see this feature being reverted any time soon, if at all.
The decision was made that griefing allies through team damage was more of an issue than the benefit of being able to "carelessly" throw torpedoes at enemies near allies.

Another thing I've been working on practicing is a full dive + full turn when my DCP is inactive. Sometimes this is enough to keep the tracker from being able to keep up with you - sometimes it's not. I haven't figured out exactly the parameters yet myself.

Schlieffen has Pommern Secondaries, so the 105's will pen 26mm. In most cases their main function is to light fires and they do this extremely well given how fast they can shoot if you're Full secondary build. If you take Pyrotechnician as your first skill (which you absolutely can here) then your 787 secondary hits means (roughly) an extra 8.87 fires for the match. That adds up to a LOT of extra damage on things like Battleships.
They will also absolutely shred DD's that are within 10km.
