We haven't quite figured out what our approach is for Season Start this year. But there will 100% be dev videos. Whether it's traditional "Champions", "Gameplay", and "Skins" is unknown. We're thinking about shaking things up and trying a different approach, but we WILL likely cover all of these things and more!
We want to highlight more devs and teams on League so they can talk about all of the work going on!

Why is Ahri's ASU coming out next year? At this speed, Zilean, Gragas, Cho'Gath, Jax, Shaco will not be getting a VGU/ASU before 2040.
I can't speak to the specifics of that team (since I'm not on it) but Ahri has SO many skins to go through. And they have to update everything. Model, animations, VFX, SFX, rigging, splash, etc.
And some stuff just can't be worked on in tandem because you need to see how everything plays together in-game. So even when all the stuff is done, you still need it all together to make sure it's not too distracting/busy on screen.

Seriously, y'all did a great job with this roadmap, I enjoyed watching it very much :)
None of this would be possible without the input from our devs! The folks who worked on this (Editorial content team + Player Community aka your friendly patch notes friends) all actively play League, but we can't do any of this without the support from the amazing dev team who are insane-o tryhards.

Fiora shaco one was used in the korean roadmap, but I didn't know about the other 2.

Small point of feedback: while I liked seeing all the coffee transitions, felt a bit like too many? Idk if that's just me being nit picky cause I know you did it in between each question/point. It just felt like there were too many.

Ya! Except we come up with a lot of our own ideas and approach the teams to create them alongside them. But occasionally they come to us with requests that we help out on.

The Editorial Content Team--the team that makes videos like this (and lol pls and Season Start)--is Riot-wide. The champion updates are not. Sorry for confusion!
I personally really liked this video. It felt really polished way to get across a small bite sized dev thought, not to mention the hype it gave for Asol CGU.
We really need more dev content like this. League is a massive game, it deserves to shine this way, the devs deserve to be better represented in the work they're doing.

Oh shit Riot wide eh? That's crazy to be fair. Knowing the communities for each game and what comes with that (the memes, language, game knowledge etc...) must be a cool challenge. Prior to you telling me that there is one team handling comms/content for Riots' Games holistically, one could've safely deduced that each game has their own "localized" team.
It's a fun challenge! I play all of Riot's games, though. And our team does as well for the most part.
So each game/product has their own mini community team, with a lead, community managers, social media folks, influencer managers, etc. You get the idea. But the team that actively creates this content is central because our work is super niche!

I love content like this. The behind the scenes Irelia, Morde, & Panth rework videos were amazing. Would love a more consistent strategy when it comes to pushing out content of this nature.

So to pull the curtain back a little (get outta here RiotAether don't DM me on Slack ty), the team that handles this type of video content (the team I'm on, which also includes written content like Champ Insights) has ramped up a lot in terms of size and scalability. But we are a Riot-wide team, meaning we handle all of Riot's games and products like music.
All of this is to say, we're working on itTM
But we also need to work on other games ;)
