It doesn't. It's the high damage in a single hit potentially at range combined with the life steal build that can give you a huge heal from hitting with it. A good use example would be getting knocked back with very low life and you want to heal up before safely re-engaging.

Many use meta builds which assume optimal play. By adopting more, or even highly defensive builds, they can ease gameplay in Heroic Escalations.

Generally you want to pick either a shield, or life steal type build and see what you can do to maximize survivability, then tune it down and add damage based on skill level.

An example (life steal) would be

• Iceborne (life steal/defense based on missing health)
• Koshais Lantern (heal boost when needed)
• Pike with Concussive Payload (emergency heal button)
  • Bonus points for Parasitic Curse (Team Revive) or Millenium's End (Self Revive)
• +6 Tough cells (Synergy with Koshai's, extreme synergy with Iceborne)
• +3-6 Sturdy if you struggle with being knocked down a lot, keeps you up and healing, also allows you to get hit when reviving others.
• +3 Parasitic (Reduces damage giving time to life leech and boosts how much you steal)
• +6 Nine Lives (anot...

Since it's the same weapon it should share the tracker in that slot. It's possible you need to re-open the window to see the updated information. If that doesn't work, would change weapons then change back. If that still doesn't resolve it, please let us know.

Savage Wellspring is the common one to take and helps allies as well. I found Concussive Payload to be a good emergency heal button when I got hit a lot with Iceborne or Koshai's Bloom.

All that said, I mostly use Reckless Leap now because flying across the screen into a behemoth is just really satisfying.

Repeaters, Strikers, Sword, Pike, and Hammer all show up in top 3 in the last 5 solo trials. Chainblades still pulling top 20s, so certainly aren't bad.

Axe benefits from charging up so doesn't compete well with others in trials but is good for things like Escalations as you can charge it up in the first round and smash the later rounds pretty hard.

Basically a lot is playing what's fun for you and what you're comfortable with. So when people say it's what you're most comfortable with, the data backs that up pretty well. If you're competing for #1 trial it may vary slightly trial to trial but isn't something to think about until you're pulling at least top 50 and have a better idea of what it takes to get to the very top.

If you're top 50 trials you also shouldn't find switching up what weapon you use as difficult as when you're new. A lot of top trials players use several weapons.

Just a heads up, this activated a few hours later than planned. "The Pirate Queen's Challenge" quest is a repeatable quest with rams as a reward, but the bounty tokens will be automatically returned when completing a bounty rather than as part of the quest.

Yes, they stay forever. They go from exclusive to gauntlet during the season to having to get them through The Middleman after the season. This can take a lot of dust and/or time through, so it's much easier to get them during the season if you play gauntlet.

Yes, you should be able to get the cells in this manner for season 2 when it ends and 3 starts.
