This week we plan to deploy an update with a number of improvements and bug fixes for Archnemesis and Siege of the Atlas content. We've prepared a preview of its patch notes to give you an idea of what to expect from the 3.17.1 patch.

Please note that these are still subject to change prior to the patch's deployment. The 3.17.1 update on consoles will be deployed as soon as possible after its release on PC.

Endgame Content Improvements and Fixes

• The completion of Unique Maps no longer counts towards your highest-completed Map tier for Atlas and Kirac Missions.
  
• Increased the area of effect for The Eater of Worlds' Ultimate Slam skill.
  
• It is now possible to sell items to Kirac.
  
• Added stash tab search functionality for Searing Exarch and Eater of Worlds items.

We're teaming up with Twitch Rivals again to run another Path of Exile: Royale event! The community creators will face each other in a live tournament in order to win awesome prizes.

Like the last time, the competitors will compete alone but to spice things up the area will generate shrines that would grant various buffs.

Twitch Drops will be available for viewers on all Path of Exile channels. They will be enabled when the event starts and will be available for 5 hours. After 30 minutes of watch time, you'll be awarded with the Eldritch Spawn Pet and after 2 hours of watch time, you'll be awarded with the Elder Portal Effect.



You must link your Path of Exile and Twitch accounts to be eligible for the drops. If you haven't already done so, follow these instructions so you don't miss out!

Over the weekend, we launched Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas. We're pleased to report that deployment was extremely smooth with no major issues! We also hit a new record for peak concurrent players at 270,260! We are closely monitoring feedback and reports and will keep you updated this week as we start to formulate lists of coming improvements.

In Siege of the Atlas, we've removed regional Atlas Passive Trees and introduced one gigantic, Atlas-wide passive tree. With over 600 skills to specialise in, we wanted to share all of the new and returning passives that you'll find on the tree to help you prepare for your adventures through the updated Atlas of Worlds. Private Leagues for Path of Exile: Archnemesis are now available! The Private Leagues for the Siege of the Atlas expansion launch are now available! Those of you who are planning to play in a Private Archnemesis League at launch are now able to create them beforehand. {LINK REMOVED}Click here to set up your Private League (don't forget to double check the start time of your league upon creating)! Please note that you won't be able to participate in these events until they officially launch on February 4th (PST).

To celebrate the launch of Siege of the Atlas, we're hosting a Boss Kill Event where Path of Exile players can compete to kill a trio of the hardest endgame bosses in Archnemesis HC SSF mode. We have put together a prize pool that gives the winners the opportunity to collaborate with our design team to create new Unique Items and Divination cards that will be added to Path of Exile.

Prizes are awarded to the first ten players who kill all three of The Maven, The Searing Exarch and The Eater of Worlds. We have not included The Uber Elder as a mandatory boss in this set because there is a moderate RNG component in accessing that fight. Bonus prizes are also awarded to the first players to kill The Uber Elder, The Shaper and Sirus. This event runs during the Archnemesis HC SSF league, starting on January 4 (PST), until each prize has been won.

The Scourge League ends on PC on Tuesday February 1st at 1pm (PST), so this is your last week to complete any unfinished challenges. On consoles, the Scourge League will end when the Siege of the Atlas expansion goes live for consoles on February 9th (PST).

When Scourge ends, private leagues for Siege of the Atlas will become available shortly after so that you can prepare ahead of time for its launch. In Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas, we're making a number of balance changes and have prepared this information for you to preview ahead of our official announcement livestream at the end of this week. The full details of these changes will be available in the patch notes and are still subject to change but this post should outline our perceived problems with current balance and our intentions for their solutions.

In general, we're focusing on two particular archetypes that we feel were the least competitive with other builds during Scourge. These are handcast spell builds and hit-focused bow builds.
