Hello! Please:

  1. Load up Vermintide 2 as normal
  2. Open the Task Manager
  3. Select the ‘Details’ tab
  4. Right-click vermintide2.exe
  5. Select ‘Set affinity’

In that window, are all CPU cores checked?

Are you playing in the ‘Modded’ realm here? I believe this may be mod-related.

Firstly, please use the ‘Verify the Integrity of Game Files’ option via the Steam client:

  1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify the Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

Failing that, please uninstall the existing version of the Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributables, reboot your PC and reinstall from the Microsoft website: Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Docs

It sounds like your user_settings.config is either becoming corrupted or has the incorrect privileges. Please ensure your user_settings.config is not set to ‘Read Only’ by:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to \AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2
  4. Right-click ‘user_settings.config’
  5. Select ‘Properties’
  6. Ensure the ‘General’ tab is selected
  7. Ensure the ‘Read Only’ checkbox is not checked

To add to Jacob’s comment above, did you earn those cosmetics/Okri’s Challenges whilst in ‘Offline’ mode, and are you experiencing this issue on ‘Offline’ mode specifically?

Sorry to hear this. Does this occur before the launcher appears, or after pressing ‘Play’ in the launcher?

We believe there may be some sort of regional lock in place for our Russian players. This hasn’t been communicated to us, so we’re investigating.

This is a known issue and will be resolved in the next patch, however, for many players the cosmetics are randomly returning on their own. It’s likely this will eventually happen for you too. If not, rest assured the patch will sort it out. Sorry about this!
