That’s unfortunate. The latest crash report provides us with some more information though, which is helpful. Could you please try:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% into the search input
  3. Navigate to \AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2
  4. Right-click ’ user_settings.config ’ and open in Notepad or a similar program
  5. Locate the line that says ’ deadlock_timeout = 15
  6. Change the number 15 to 60
  7. Save your changes
  8. Re-launch Vermintide 2

I’d be keen to know whether this helps. Keep us posted!

It’s my understanding that the Crest of the Exceptional Bone Collector was awarded to those who pre-ordered.

I’ve spoken with one of our Console Developers about this and we believe this is more of a local issue. Vermintide 2 operates in protected memory and should never be able to directly crash the console, nor do we have anything to do with the overlaying messaging system. Sorry we can’t be of more help.

Sorry to hear this. To start with, could you please try repairing Easy Anti-Cheat using the EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

Sorry to hear this. Could you take a photo of the error and send it over to me, please?

Sorry, hi, I missed your response! We’re aware of this issue and our console crew are currently looking in to it. Sorry I can’t be of more help right now.

Could you let me know what your connection’s download and upload speeds are please?

Unfortunately your GPU appears to be crashing in every instance, please perform a clean re-installation of your GPU drivers using the instructions here.

@SoulRipper Sorry to hear that - I’ve let our Console Producer know. I’ll PM you with any updates.

We’ve been informed that this should now be resolved, could you all let me know please?

Sorry to hear that @waterdread :frowning: what a nightmare. Microsoft were confident in their response to us earlier so I’m hopeful that we won’t be waiting much longer, but I completely understand if you’ve ran out of patience by now.

A quick update - Microsoft have responded to say they’ve identified the core issue, and are in the process of addressing it. They’ll let us know when it’s complete, and I’ll be sure to update you all here.

Assuming it still works in the modded realm, it’s more likely to be related to Easy Anti-Cheat. Then again, this Telekom issue has resulted in all kinds of weirdness, so I wouldn’t rule it out completely!

Could you please ensure the Easy Anti-Cheat service isn’t disabled by:

  1. Open the Command Prompt as an administrator
  2. Enter the command:
    services.msc
  3. Locate Easy Anti-Cheat within the list and double-click it
  4. Change ‘Startup Type’ to ‘Manual’ if it’s set to anything else

Thank you for the information all. The issue is in the hands of Microsoft’s Engineering Team at current - I’ll be sure to let you all know whenever we receive an update.

I appreciate you all providing your Gamertags, but I don’t believe these are required any more. When the issue is eventually addressed, it will be addressed for everybody experiencing the issue, irrespective of whether or not we have your Gamertags.

Thank you again, and sincerest apologies once more for the inconvenience. Admittedly I too am losing patience and want this to be resolved as soon as possible. :frowning:

I believe this is something to do with our anti-cheat provider, Easy Anti-Cheat.

Could you please try repairing Easy Anti-Cheat using the EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

Is it consistently low, or does it only happen during certain events (such as during a horde)?

Gah, what a nightmare. Ok, back to Microsoft…

So sorry about all of this.

This is not intentional, but ideally we need to see a screenshot of the exact location this occurred in to be able to address this.

The patch is now live, which should hopefully address the lobby issue.
