Unfortunately, it’s not entirely clear what could be causing this. The crashes you’re experiencing are called Access Violations, which in our experience are usually caused by something local. I’d recommend that you run through the solutions listed here.

Hello Flap! Could you please try performing a clean re-installation of your GPU drivers using the instructions here?

Unfortunately ASUS Aura Sync uses old, exploitable drivers which is why it’s untrusted by our anti-cheat service, Easy Anti-Cheat.

I’ve contacted Easy Anti-Cheat in the past to request that it’s whitelisted but sadly they couldn’t honour my request due to the reasons above.

I can only recommend that you disable ASUS Aura Sync prior to launching Vermintide 2.

Are you able to run a map and see if the issues persist with any Firewall/Anti-Virus programs disabled? Be sure to re-enable it afterwards!

Perfect! I seem to recall reading a post where a Killer representative recommended using the Killer Control Center instead of the Killer Network Manager , as this doesn’t make use of the particular DLL that Easy Anti-Cheat considers to be suspicious.

I suspect this may be related to the Killer Network Manager. Could you try disabling it and see if the issue persists?

Should be sorted now, please restart Steam and ensure the latest updates are installed.

Do you have any RGB controllers (such as RGB Fusion) running on your PC?

RGB controllers are often picked up by Easy Anti-Cheat due to their use of old, exploitable drivers and need to be disabled prior to launching Vermintide 2.

1.6 has been pushed live with some additions. The patch notes will be published shortly! As for the size of it, it’s my understanding that this patch overwrote the Beta with the addition of the upcoming event being included (which is indeed dropping later).

This is possibly more of a local issue, I did notice your GPU drivers are outdated so that’s certainly worth keeping in mind! Instructions on how to perform a clean update of your GPU drivers can be seen here.

Thank you for your contributions @beardeddragon1225 and everybody else for your input, I’m pleased to hear that re-pasting solved your issues and it wasn’t something more sinister! Although I’ve been quiet recently I have been keeping an eye on this post every day.

I’m currently working on putting together a "how to improve your performance in Vermintide 2" article but it’s taking longer than I had originally hoped due to the sheer amount of headache-inducing variables involved!

That being said, it’s awfully hard from a support perspective to determine whether a player’s performance drops are caused by something local without having the PC in our hands, or as a result of something we’ve changed. Symptoms vary largely from person to person too. We’re very aw...
