Could you paste a crash report for me to look at here, please?

Sorry to hear that @Seasuper. As Steam handles all content delivery, could you consider contacting Steam Support?

Happy to say we have identified the issue and it will be included in patch 1.1.20. I’m reluctant to provide an ETA as release dates can change very rapidly in this line of work, but I would predict this to be in approximately 4 weeks time.

This is caused by one of your mods, but I can’t be sure which one.

Surprisingly, the pipeline state warnings are unlikely to be the cause of your issue. Could you upload the entirety of the console log, in addition to your darktide_launcher.log, please?

I understand our players have been waiting too long for this - it is due soon!

Comment

This is possibly related to the downtime we’ve been experiencing with our login services, since around 23:00 CEST.

Could you try once more in a couple of hours, please?

Unfortunately, due to an internal lack of resource, we may be waiting longer than I had initially expected for a solution.

I understand this is disappointing, and I’m happy to assist any Intel Arc users with a refund for Darktide, should you rather take that option.

The post order history is not quite right, due to some chronological wonkiness. I also had to change the timestamp on my original post. For transparency, I posted the original post about 15 minutes ago. I’m not trying to deceive anybody.

We were made aware of an outage relating to our login service at around 23:00 CEST resulting in a Backend Error error on launch, and have been working on addressing the issue since.

We understand service is slowly resuming and players should be able to log in as normal within the next 2 to 3 hours.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Hah, nice. Keep us posted

Could you see if anything in the article linked below helps? The part about ensuring your permissions are consistent is quite important.

If you haven’t already, please could you use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option?:

  1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

Are you using any sort of plugin? Anything you’ve manually added to the root directory?

Thank you for the URL.

As for the crashes, there is some indication of a corrupted installation. Could you try the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option if you haven’t already?:

  1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

The errors however, I believe are the result of an issue pertaining to the Zealot’s Flamer. It’s a weird one, and we’re working to hotfix it.

Sorry to hear the latest patch didn’t improve anything for you. I will let our developers know, but it would be super if you could upload one of your most recent console logs here.

Alternatively, I’m happy to help with a refund, if you would prefer that option.

Comment

I’ve shared your updates with the developer handling the issue. Sorry about this.

Hello! This isn’t something we have any plans for at current, but it’s possible we’ll revisit it.
