Queried this with a Game Designer and it’s intended - just a rare instance

Hey @esmelusina, I’ve queried this before and have been told it is intended behaviour.

That said, this has come up a few times now and can seem bugged, like you say. I’ll bring this up for a discussion again internally. Thank you

I’ve queried this, and it’s working as intended. You’re correct that it isn’t specified that it needs to be ranged attacks, but it does have to be ranged attacks.

I’ve passed this on and suggested the description be updated to be clearer perhaps.

It appears that you’re encountering a Deadlock crash type, which are a little notorious.

Do you (or your friend) use any mods? If so, can you try disabling them.

A stab in the dark, but you could also try a Selective Startup, which can help identify whether a background application is the cause of your crashes:

1. Press the Windows key
2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
5. Reboot your PC

Yep, it’s something we’re aware of, as we’re often fixing specific instances of this happening, but there may be a wider underlying issue. I’m making some noise internally about it, as it’s something that I believe deserves a deeper look at. You can recharge your Briar Javelin ammo by holding ‘R’ - Javelin ammo doesn’t work in the same way as other ranged weapons (Bow, Crossbow, Pistol etc.) with ammo pickups, and instead works more similarly to Slayer Bardin’s Throwing Axes. Admittedly the description could be clearer - we’ll look into this.
