Edit: sorry I didn’t notice you were a developer, but I’ll leave my passionate empty threat as is because I’m still frustrated 2 days later. I hope there is some sort of mitigation you guys can implement such as a unanimous veto system to override a host’s kick request. I understand the host can ultimately end the session whenever they want but at least that way they are penalizing themselves in the process.

Honestly if there was even a report player option I might have felt better afterwards. I felt like I had absolutely no recourse.

I get your frustration, but voting is not the solution. Is it a majority vote? When is it a majority with four players? 3 vs 1? What if someone doesn't host? Is the host immune? If not there needs to be some sort of host migration, which is not without issues.

It's a fairly complicated issue with no immediate solutions that are easily used. Voting requires a certain number of players to actually work, a veto system is hard to properly introduce and relay to people, so it actually works the way player wants to - and even then, there's a lot of pitfalls.
Not saying it won't change, but the easiest way to avoid the issues is to host yourself and communicate with others.

Sorry you had a bad experience, but voting to kick doesn’t really work in a game where the player count varies from one to four people.

We can’t say when we go on sale in advance, but we’ve been on sale before and I’d be surprised if it didn’t happen again.

I can answer the two last questions; Players host their own sessions. No, DLCs are cosmetic only. We do not want to do DLC that adds to the gameplay, and leave players behind.

I believe so, but sometimes an entrance can be well hidden. Seems like we aren’t getting any reports on it any more.

To elaborate further, we support it for non-commercial purposes, with proper credit (a link to the Steam page, eg.), and with our approval. Primarily to not let everything just spread like a wildfire and also to have an option to take it down in case there is a clash with merch partners.

Fairly sure it’s not because of the aoe, but because the plant doesn’t count as hitting something, which would normally spend the axe. I should test this on bigger plants. This is completely anecdotal, though. :D I haven’t asked out of fear of someone nerfing my gardering tool. :D
