My apologies for this issue! The error shown in your logs is one we have seen multiple times from people with Nvidia graphics cards. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to replicate the problem internally, which has slowed progress.

However, we have one potential fix that will be implemented in our next patch, Beta 0.8. Please let us know if you continue to experience this issue after the patch is released, and upload a new set of crash reports if so. Thanks!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue! As Last Epoch is an early access game, its optimization isn’t as complete as a released game and this is something we continue to work on with every patch. While we want to avoid these situations, it’s something that will have to be improved over time.

While 80-90 degrees celsius is not an ideal temperature, 90 degrees can certainly be within the expected operating temperature of your GPU, depending on what the exact card you have is. I don’t believe this represents a serious personal safety hazard - unless there is a already a critical hardware fault a graphics card will not catch on fire or similar.

While there isn’t an immediate fix I can offer from our side, I would recommend looking up the maximum operating temperature for your graphics card to determine the severity of this problem. You can also use monitoring software like Afterburner to see if your graphics card’s frequency decreases at that temperature, which in...

Sorry about that! I’ve tried to reproduce this issue and haven’t had any luck. If this happens again, could you please upload your log file? Thanks.

Thanks, I’ve made a note of this internally.

Thanks, I’ve made a note of this internally. If you walk to the left a bit first it should work.

I’ve taken a look at this and I think the problem is that the second half (on the other side of the dots) does not get lit up immediately after putting points into a node regardless of how you opened the skill tree.

When you close and reopen the skill tree after unlocking a new node, the second half is lit up correctly.

I’ve made a note of this internally.

That’s not a bug really since that’s the sound that’s intended to play, but I’ll pass on the feedback about volume. Thanks!

I just tested this and found that the increased mana regen effect is working.

However, the character sheet’s entry for mana regen doesn’t seem to update automatically. Could you try closing and re-opening the character sheet after changing your lightning resistance? If your mana regen still doesn’t change, let us know.

Thanks for the report!

Are you experiencing this with minion abilities (i.e. Summon Wolf)? If so, this is a known issue that we haven’t had a chance to fix yet.

If you’re having this happen on a non-minion skill please let us know. Thanks!

We don’t currently have a way to update the tooltip text for skills based on what effects your character has. There aren’t any plans to change this currently due to the amount of difficulty required to implement, but it would certainly be nice to have.

Thanks for the additional details, I appreciate it.

Unfortunately, the log files aren’t providing much useful information. Windows’ own crash handler seems to be taking over before the game engine’s own crash handler, which means that less crash debug information is being saved.

If you haven’t already, I would recommend trying to repair the game via Steam. If that doesn’t help, also try lowering all graphics settings before loading a new area. This could help us determine if the problem is related to a specific graphics system....

To clarify here-- the reason there hasn’t been much progress recently on this is that it’s not easy to pinpoint. While for some users this issue happens quite frequently, we aren’t able to reproduce this issue when we test it on our own computers. If we can make an issue happen on our own computers internally, it’s much easier to resolve (though can still take some time).

We do take crashing issues seriously and collect log files so that we can further analyze them for patterns, but unfortunately that doesn’t always lead to potential solutions. Additionally, we have to balance time spent on this against developing/testing new content, bug fi...

Very sorry about this! We’ll be providing a fix for the game failing to load in this situation in our next patch, Beta 0.8.

Unfortunately, this problem indicates that your stash file got corrupted. If you go to your Saves folder (located in the same place as your log file) and delete your Epoch_Local_Global_Data_Beta and Epoch_Local_Global_Data_Beta_temp files you should be able to play the game again.

We aren’t able to restore any save data lost at this point as all save data is stored on your computer locally. However, we are invest...

Hi there,

I’m very sorry about the issues you’re facing and I apologize for the non-existent response from us. It’s been a very busy time internally, but I know that’s not an excuse.

I also very much appreciate the lengths you’ve gone to for providing information and trying to resolve this issue.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a firm answer or suggestion to give you, which I’m sure is disappointing. I’ve looked at your crash reports and while I see the error it’s reporting, I can’t see the reason why it’s occurring. I’ll pass on the files to a developer as well to confirm, but there doesn’t seem to be a ton of actionable information.

It looks like you’ve tried everything from what we normally recommend in this case, except for perhaps one thing: have you tried playing the game on the lowest graphics settings you can? (i.e. Master Quality turned down, as well as everything else).

Obviously that’s not a way we can expect you to play the game, but it wou...

Sorry about this! Thanks for uploading your log files and including screenshots.

During this process, have you tried deleting the Saves folder directly? It’s located in the same place as the log files you uploaded. I would recommend closing the game, deleting the entire folder, and then starting the game again.

It appears that you’re experiencing a bug that we fixed internally after the last patch, so this shouldn’t be a problem for anyone else after 0.8 is released.

Please let us know if this advice works or if you need further assistance.

Could you please upload a log file from a game session where this occurred? What types were you switching between?

We’ve encountered this bug before but we released a fix for it in a 0.7.10 hotfix, so it shouldn’t be happening anymore.

This node is granting 0.5% leech per point rather than the intended 5%-- I’ve fixed this for our next patch. Thanks!

Arethwyn is correct-- this is a known bug that we haven’t had the chance to resolve yet. If this happens again you can just re-equip the skill or reload your character. Sorry about that!

I’ve made a node of this internally. Thanks!

Thanks for the report! I haven’t been able to reproduce this issue unfortunately, even with the same Bone Curse tree. Is this a very rare occurrence? I did try for some time.

Once I can see the problem happen for myself I can work on isolating the issue. Given how many variables there are, I think the most helpful thing would be for you to upload your save file so I can try it locally.

You can just attach your Saves folder as a .zip (located in the same place as your log file) and tell me the name of the character - I can find it.

Thanks!
