By characters do you mean players, followers, NPCs, or pretty much everything?

Are parts of the map not loading in correctly or do they fall straight through the mesh?

Are you experiencing the issue in singleplayer or online?

Hey @Croms_Faithful, to clarify on this matter it’s not actually an issue, but an intentional change that was introduced some patches ago, towards the beginning of last year.

Does the issue also persist in online play?

Have you tried to perform a clean reinstall of the game or to rebuild the PS4 database?

Also, if you do get crash report prompts, always send them through the PS dashboard once prompted so our team can get a hold of it and evaluate the causes.

The server states that the first character has died to temperature changes, which means that it has definitely happened at that specific time since it is something that’s controlled by the server and saved on the server’s side, not on the client’s side. Since your second character saw the first character sleeping in its original logout place, it’s likely that that client was out of sync with the server.

Regarding the death due to temperature changes, were any possible heat sources lit or added around the time of the character’s death?

Did you check the Event Log for any relevant messages?

It’s possible that your thrall headed back to the last spot you’ve set it to guard.

Regarding the issue you’re having with disappearing lootbags, could you please elaborate on it?

Did you check the decay timer for those placeables with a repair hammer?

When dealing with low tier structures placed in small quantities, the decay timer can be less than 24 hours.

We’d recommend placing everything over several foundations that are connected to each other so that everything shares the same decay timer bonus, including altars and animal pens, and to check out the following video for further information:

Hello @MasterSpecter1, have you tried loading into a singleplayer session before trying to connect to that server?

Also, are any other servers giving you issues?

As Scumdog1980 has suggested, please try to clear the console cache as well by holding the power button for about 10 seconds until the console powers off, then disconnecting it from the power outlet for a couple of minutes.

Did you happen to check the stability for the surrounding pieces with a repair hammer at any time?

Also, to prevent any possible issues with the building’s stability as a whole, it’s best to place your base foundations grounded and attach pillars to said foundations from the group up.
