I believe they said that anything that's already been done and tracked will count when the achievements are implemented.

That's correct. Any previous KC will carry over when the update goes live (if it passes the poll)

Quite light on the changes this time, just these two additions which can be found in more detail within the blog:

  • Additional wording added to the 'Accuracy Based Offfhand' section detailing how to reclaim the item and what happens in PvP deaths.

  • Added a section under 'Boss Chamber Instances' detailing a change we're looking to make with God Wars Dungeon boss chambers for Ironmen.

Edit: I broke the news module again, so the links will not work for a few minutes. Sorry about this! I'll edit this comment when it's back up. Okay it works again sorry about that!!

u/JagexAyiza you say private Ironman boss chambers. Does this mean only the chamber or the entire GWD? I’m concerned about not being able to see if there’s already an Ironman inside and wasting your killcount or ecumenical key

It would be the chamber only, but we'd add a peek option to the door as well as looking into a visual effect so you'd be able to check if there was another Ironman in the room already before you enter

Happy Birthday!! Be honest how long will that cake last? Is it going to fuel you over the weekend or will it be gone before the day is over?

u/JagexAyiza hihi, does this mean irons will be able to duo gwd bosses with other irons like in corp? or do we still need to solo it? thanks :)

Heyyy, I mean you can duo if you want but neither of you will get loot! It doesn't change how ironman plays, you just wouldn't be in the same room as non-iron players

Not currently no, we still need to agree on the best way forward with it and get a blog out!

I'll be honest, it's rare to see someone f**k up this much in such a short time. And especially right after being hired.

How does one man shit the bed this much?

This is the best possible outcome that helps both Mains + Irons and they FINALLY went through with it, better late than never of course.

/u/JagexAyiza - Thank you and the Team

We got there in the end :)

Yeah, straight up, if you disagree with this change, you're either one of the aforementioned ironman haters or don't actually understand the problem. Getting BIS melee on an ironman is de facto impossible because a level 3 bot going into the room with you and immediately dying crashes an ironman. Plus, the gear also gates a lot of content. Tbh this might make me play the game again because now I know I won't hit a wall in a few months where I can't advance at all.

You can argue that ironman get catered to a bit too much with stuff like giant seaweed and the sandstone quarry, but this isn't that kind of change. I'd also argue that those kind of changes are just fixing skills that were never designed to be trained with no trading, but that's not really relevant here.

/u/JagexAyiza , I would strongly consider implementing it in a way that you can actually see the room before entering rather than having to peek the room to see if it's free. I...

We're looking into a visual aid to help you know before having to peek, something not in your face but enough to say there's someone there

Great job on the extra clarification, just one question:

"There has been lots of discussion within the community about Combat Achievements being available to all players, even those who intentionally choose to limit their account. Whilst we want it to be available to as many players as possible, some in-game encounters are locked behind requirements that not every account type can access. Naturally, because of this there will be certain tasks that limited account builds will not be able to complete, but where possible we'd like to offer players an alternative option to completing a specific task that would otherwise be impossible. With this in mind, we'd like to propose that account builds with limited Defence levels would be able to fully complete everything up to the Hard tier of Combat Achievements."

You state that limited accounts will be able to complete certain things, but can't ...

There is no base combat stat requirement. They're listed in the blog as a "we'd expect a typical player to be at this kind of level" rather than "you have to have these levels to start the tiers".

Limited accounts will still not be able to fully complete all tiers of Combat Achievements purely because of the fact certain bosses have requirements that prevent you from killing them and we can't change that.

No of course I don't admit that because it's not my intention at all, it's just a consideration we're taking into account? Sorry if it came across otherwise :(

Silly question...For speed kills, i.e "kill vorkath in under 1:10" will a personal best of 1:10 unlock that achievement? Or is it strictly 1:09 required

If a time is specified, you'd need to be under that time
