Thanks for this - we've alerted the team.

how is it that a purple prize(4000 rare tokens) which can usually be converted to 750 oddments or more now get devalued to 10:1 ratio? without warning either? seriously unprofessional

We definitely understand how we got this wrong. The intent was to do something beneficial for everyone involved and we missed the mark on the conversion ratio.

We're working on solidifying some plans on what we can do to make good on that fact.

Anybody figure out what the unlock from Vault of Shadows is yet?

We're being vague for good reasons on this one. Having the Miniquest completed will matter later.

Just curious, would this possible solution still address the piles which have already been converted, or even already purchased rare items, since they were "devalued"? Mostly wondering since it'd surprise me if the token numbers were still stored.

We're looking into what's technically feasible at this stage for sure. We're not looking at the value of already purchased rare items in any way though, to be clear.

I would've bought all the items at a discount if I had known this change was coming, but I now lost thousands of tokens worth because there was no communication about this change beforehand. Not to mention some items I was planning to buy are now unavailable.

We're looking into the Random Discount option as well to make sure you don't lose any value on your existing Tokens (in addition to the discussions we're having about their value as a prize vs the offered conversion ratio).

We've been working with the team this morning with regards to your feedback on both value and item availability.

For those of you who don't know, the new Rares above are available now in the Oddments Store. All Rares are priced at the same 10:1 ratio as Oddments – so a Rare that was previously 7000 Rare Item Tokens will now be 700 Oddments. If you were saving up for a Rare Item, you haven't lost any direct value in the conversion.

That said, the team hear you on your feedback that Rare Item Tokens value as a prize could have been better reflected in the conversion ratio. We're actively discussing this and looking at potential solutions to address this.

We will also be looking to bring the Limited and Current rares in a future Game Update - we've yet to confirm next week, but we are aiming for sooner rather than later.

Thanks for your continued feedback and we'll let you know as soon as we have a further information to share on both changes above.

Excellent update nonetheless!

That is intended. We have to be vague on this one for reasons that will become clear later.

It's under the Community section tab, but that's good feedback for us to consider - thank you!

Why not just list them all or have them rotate stock. Not just not make them available anymore. Hopefully the plan will introduce something but I hate when items are locked out like this.

That's no longer the plan - we're going to bring them in as soon we can based on this morning's feedback.

To appease those frustrated with the Rare Item Token update, is it possible to add the "random rare" option at a 20% discounted oddment rate as they were in the rare items token store for those tokens? The conversion rate to new cost is the exact same as it was before the update. The only issue people have is the inability to buy previous rare item token items that have been removed, and choosing a random item for a lower price.

We're looking into both of these things based on this morning's feedback.

Yes, the prices in the Oddments store is EXACTLY the issue. I'd been saving up my Rare Item Tokens until I had enough to buy out all of the Current Rares and New Rares (I already owned all the Limited Rares) using the random option which gives a 20% discount. The day I hit that number (I was about 2000 off) I was going to spend all my Rare Item Tokens. Now, not only am I unable to purchase the Current Rares until they are added, I've lost the 20% discount from using the random option.

We'll pass that feedback to the team as well - hold onto those Oddments for now as we're bringing back the other Rare Items in as soon as it's possible based on this morning's feedback. We'll see if the random discount option is likely to be included in that.

The problem is the absolute lack of heads up. What if people were on the fence before on the older rare item rewards. I avoided buying some I didn’t like because I was hoping for new rares. However if you had told us the removal and conversion rate I would have spent every token I could. It’s already extremely annoying to buy useful items from the oddment shop since you added the daily limit.

Based on some of the feedback this morning, the team is going to get the other items from the Rare Item Token shop into the Oddments Store.

We don't have an ETA to share right now until it's all figured out, but we'll let you know when we can lock a date.

As a bit of added context, the ratio of 10:1 also applies to the Rare Items Oddments pricing - so something that was 7k Rare Item Tokens will now be 700 Oddments.

The benefit of the centralisation is you can now choose to chase Rare Items with your Oddments (and get them from more sources) or not, rather than getting a currency that may or may not be of interest for you.

We'll be monitoring your feedback as always, but hopefully that provides some insight to the ratio.

Thanks for reporting this - we've seen the reports and we're looking into it.

Hello Scapers,

We've released another warmfix that fixes additional crashes reported this week. You'll automatically receive the update upon next login on all desktop clients.

As with the warmfix earlier this week, this will be deployed to Mobile once the build is through the Store processes. We'll update this post when released.

If you are still experiencing any crashes, please do let us know in the comments below as we continue investigating any reports.

Thanks again for your patience and have a great weekend!

Nothing tangible yet I'm afraid - it's very much still on the radar though. Thanks for bearing with us as we look into it.

If it's okay, we may DM you shortly to ask for more information as we support the investigation for the team.

I seem to recall this being something that was (meant to be) temporarily turned on to tackle some spamming shortly after I joined, but obviously it never got removed. I've passed a note to the team for us to remove the term from the filter.
