Is your actual damage dealt to enemies going down, or only your tooltip DPS?

Do you have any effects that might fall off when you attack or hit an enemy that could result in lower tooltip DPS afterwards, such as the critical strike chance provided by Gambler’s Fallacy?

Abyssal Echoes’s Freedom of Movement causes enemies that would apply Slow when hitting you to instead apply Haste when hitting you, for as long as Abyssal Decay is active on that enemy. It doesn’t cause Slow ailments that have been applied to that enemy to be converted into Haste on you.

Thank you for the info. We’ll look for a repro case involving those skills and nodes, but it’ll take some time to go through it, and I can’t guarantee if we’ll find anything. Freezes can be difficult to track down.

In the meantime, if you come across any additional details about which action in particular might be the cause, please do let us know.

Are you able to play without freezing by not using those skills, such as playing another character that’s a different class?

You’re right, the two nodes were not additive. I’ve fixed this internally. I also found a separate issue that was causing Sacrifice chains to consistently chain to 1 less minion than they should, which is now fixed internally as well.

I’m looking into this. Based on the logs the only lead I have is that something may have gone wrong with the installation, even if Steam’s integrity check passed.
Could you try reinstalling the game?
I know that’s annoying to hear, sorry about that, but we’ve got to rule out any weird installation problems before we can consider other possibilities.

Once you’ve reinstalled the game, if the problem still occurs: if you don’t use the skills you mentioned, are you able to play for long sessions without a crash? Does using these skills seem to lead to the crash, or is having them on your action bar sufficient?

We’ve been unable to reproduce this internally, so any information you can provide helps us figure this out.

Psychodrive’s description of the issue not occurring if abilities aren’t used immediately beforehand is potentially a hint at the root problem. If others have the same experience, that’s helpful information.

We’ve found the issue and fixed it internally. The fix will address this bug in both The Altar of Flesh (the Abomination fight) and The Dragons’ Grotto. Thanks for the reports!

Hello all, thanks for the continued reports. We’ve found the problem with Arcane Ascendance and will be working on a fix.

We’re also aware of issues with mobility skills like Teleport and Transplant causing desync or rubberbanding, but that still needs further investigation from us. Additional reports about that bug are helpful.

Thanks for the report. I haven’t been able to reproduce this yet, so I have some questions that might help narrow down the issue.
Does this occur every single time you load into a new area, or only sometimes?
Is this occurring in online or offline play?
Are these skill points that you’re receiving from an item, and do the effects of the node you allocated using these points seem to work?
For others who are experiencing this issue: is this occurring with skills other than Fireball?

Sorry about this! We were worried about how this change would affect Thorn Shield minion builds and tried to keep the prioritization effect to a minimum necessary to aid its targeting in multiplayer, but it’s clear that it still has a negative impact on minion builds.
We’ll work on a better solution.

Thanks for the reports, everyone. There’s definitely something going wrong here, but we haven’t sorted out what it is yet. From initial tests I couldn’t cause desync using Arcane Ascendance with Acuity in moderate intensity combat scenarios, but it has been reported often so I still suspect it’s involved.
Additional reports with details of what skills you’re using are helpful, especially if a certain skill or node seems to result in more desync. It would also be helpful to know if this occurs when playing together with other players, or when playing solo online.

Thanks for the report. Did you experience network lag when this occurred, or was the game still fully responsive? For example, were you able to attack and kill enemies without issue?

Thanks for the detailed report! We’ve found the cause and are working on a fix.
In the meanwhile, a workaround to avoid running into this bug is to avoid using Swipe or Armblade Slash for a couple seconds before moving to a new area.

We’ve deployed a hotfix to address the catalyst not letting you empower the monolith in offline.

For those who are experiencing this issue in online:
Do the indicators around the catalyst illuminate for the requisite timelines after you’ve defeated the boss of that timeline and received its blessing? The three timelines that must be completed are Spirits of Fire, The Last Ruin, and The Age of Winter.
Are you able to walk up to and click on the catalyst, or is it inaccessible due to the rocks not being formed around it?
If you fully exit the game and then return to the catalyst, does any of this change?

When this issue first started, were you running echoes with at least 1 other player, or had you done so at some point before then during the play session? Or were you exclusively playing alone?
