The game doesn’t delete saves on uninstall. The game files are actually identical on steam or stand alone. What I think happened is that the steam cloud saves kicked in at a very unfortunate time and overwrote the saves with blank ones. I could be wrong and it should ask you first.
I wanted so bad to tell you it was right around the corner but it just hadn’t quite finished QA yet.
Thanks bud. Yea, it’s been a tough one. We’ve had at least a dozen of us working on it at some point or another in the last few weeks. I’m just so relieved that people are going to be able to get back in and play again.
Yea, I know that’s clunky, it’s not translated from anything.
OK! Here we go, let’s take a look at what I said before.
Num lock doesn’t move the character, move the game cursor, depend or react to the game state.
If something else follows that same criteria and has the same effect as num lock, it’s fine.
I’m still not going to make a list of specifically approved programs at this time.
I suspect that those are mostly text files. Text compresses like crazy in a zip file which makes it way easier to send.

Hi Johnny, we are aware of an issue that is affecting some users of video cards like that one. We are just testing a solution at the moment. There will be a patch when it’s fixed and it will be mentioned in the patch notes.
It adds to the base crit chance so it would be 9%.
Hey there, I just replied to SuperGimpoMan in a direct message and thought I would post what I said to him here just to be clear to everyone.
I don’t have any official statement that I can make about which programs are ok and which aren’t. Currently the section you quoted [my previous post] is the official stance and the total real rules on the issue.
I know that being a non native English speaker can make interpreting these very specifically worded statements difficult and I appreciate the attempt to understand them better.
Yea, I feel for ya bud. I’ve been there myself. We are in a weird spot where we don’t have a build in hand that I know will fix it so but I’m feeling very confident about the issue.
That’s a good find. It’s crazy how a rig that awesome is struggling so much. My backup machine is a potato by comparison and seems to be running on sheer willpower. Looks like someone in that thread has found a possible solution. It unfortunately isn’t something that we can do immediately. If that does fix it, it is something that we will get to eventually anyways. I know that sounds really strange and cryptic. We just need to upgrade engine builds very cautiously as it can end up creating massive problems.
Edit: just keep an eye on patch notes, we should mention something that references this type of problem when it’s looking good.
Wow that’s a lot of errors. Is this the first time playing since the most recent hotfix? Seems like something could have possibly went wrong with the patching process.
Seems to have happened right as you loaded in to a scene. Was the crash during a transition?
Thanks for the info. We’ve had some issues with it not figuring out space availability correctly during an update. We are working on a complete overhaul of the whole launcher that will fix these issues. 0.7.7d is gigantic compared to 0.7.8 as far as space on disk goes. It may have been attempting to allocate space for both versions simultaneously. If this happens again before the launcher upgrade, you might need to temporarily free up some space on the drive and then move the stuff back.
In your troubleshooting, did you attempt to download a fresh launcher from our website? You can change the name of the directory of the old one and then install the new one and then before it actually starts downloading, move the game folder into it and trick it in to thinking you’ve got the game downloaded already and it should just pick up as though nothing happened. I know those instructions are a little vague but I get the impression that you know what you’re doing enough that it will mak...
Read moreWell, good news is that you’ve got a ton of errors which do point in the general direction of the problem.
If it happens again, can you send me the save file of the affected character?
Drops in game are weighted towards drops from your class so you will find a majority of items that you can use on your class. This does not affect the drop rates of unique and set items.
We get a significant number of reports of 93% fracturing. We aren’t sure what’s causing it yet but I suspect that it has something to do with the use of glyphs. It’s on my todo list to investigate.
So, this is probably actually my fault. Sometimes a skill gets added without the SFX being set properly. We’ve got an awesome sound designer that is working his way through all the old sounds and making new ones too. There are a few sounds that are remnants of the past. I’ve linked this thread to him and we’ll take a peek at those.
Edit: just got word from him that they should be better for the next patch. It’s just that easy folks.
I think we’ve got it figured out now. Should be good for next patch.
When you’re changing zones, the distance that those zones are apart has no impact on anything. Not to burst the bubble but as far as the game is concerned all zones are the same distance from all other zones.
The next time a crash happens, without restarting the game, could you get a new log file and send that in? (You can start it up again after that, I just need to see if it’s giving any logs right after the crash)
