Multiple balance updates are coming to Crusade in the upcoming patches.

I disagree. Homm5 graphics still hold up to me when it comes to art style and unit/building design. Even the environments arent that bad due to how far away the camera is from them and nival using a lot of clutter in more natural environments and parallax occlusion maps for the inferno and desert terrain.

We may have advanced alot in terms of graphics but a pit lord, the wight or hell any of the academy units still look wonderful.

Not sure if you guys are aware, but a significant part of people behind HOMM V are a part of Owlcat Games these days :P

A lot of people in the challenge died to 100% optional encounters, Water Elemental, Sarkorian Ghost.

Not sure what they were trying to prove, I thought the challenge was based on number of quests completed

Most of the participants of the challenge didn't play past first couple of Acts or didn't play at all prior to going the Last Azlanti. So it's not them knowing everything :)

- Mortismal Gaming's Azata is approaching the endgame with 117 quests in Act V. It's a safe bet he'll finish the game on this weekend;

- GruntarTV's Trickster has entered Act IV;

- BearlyTactical's Azata and HazVsRPG'a Aeon are almost in Act IV!

I wouldnt be surprised if that bug caused a few Last Azlanti challenge losses.

Since the ancient sarkorian ghost used Rift of Ruin on you, it was pretty much a death sentence

Those who died at him did so before the bug appeared. Tbe bug only lasted less than a week :)

Try relaunching Steam, that should fix it.

Fair point, but it's indeed too late now :(

If we play through the final ending now, will we be able to import a save into the DLC?

It will allow you to import your character. Playing through the ending shouldn't affect it in any way, as far as I'm aware.

Don't think this is not balanced, you actually have to spent hours and hours of crusade to get your mage general to do that. And this is Act5, and you have to constantly pick power as well as build lots of power buildings. Not easy to do and takes time, so when you finally are this strong you are already at the last leg of the game. Even without the final 1 button win, you pretty much can kill everything with a few turns anyways.

Hate to break it for you guys, but that spell is incorrectly multiplicating damage. It will be fixed soon, so enjoy the armageddon while it lasts :)

Beyond QoL fixes, they haven't said anything about actually making it fun or not nonsensically OP towards mage generals.

A huge chunk of balancing and some QoL for Crusade is coming soon in a major update.

Lack of immunity looks like a bug. Please report it via ALT+B.

Normal. Many of them are first-time players that go blind.

From what I read from the Steam gamepass page it feels like you will be pulled into this dlc conflict right before the final ending happens maybe just before closing the worldwound. Atleast that's what I interpreted from the page. I am not a native English speaker so I could have misinterpreted something as well.

Also due to the secret ending this could be a more likely case than getting a timeskip after the end of the current game.

Correct, it's an additional story that takes place just before the final ending.

Can we see the builds for the three victors?

There will be interviews with top participants, yes, closer to the end of the challenge. It's still 2 and a half weeks until the end, and completion time is just a third tiebreaker after beating the game and doing as many quests as possible :) So more of them still have chance.

It's wednesday and a new update for #TheLastAzlantiChallenge!

We're beyond the middle point!

A hot competition was finally resolved as Old Man Mordaith didn't manage to surpass Amm0ni's result, finishing the game with the same 132 quests, but taking 11 more hours to do it.

Will others be able to make it?
