The Jailed Champion token will recreate the champion at the beginning of any round if the opponent has no Jailers. However you accomplish that is up to you!

It's true that the Gauntlets version of singleton has typically been paired with 3-region! Singleton in and of itself just refers to the card counts though.

This Lab was focused on trying out a champion-focused mode and seeing if that was exciting for people. If people like it and we bring it back, it sounds like reinstating 3-region would be a good next experiment. :)

Hey folks, quick note!

Yesterday, we fixed the soft-locks some players were experiencing in Recursive Heroes 101. We just now rolled out an update that'll fix some other stuff too:

  • The deck rules should now be properly enforced, so the Lab should require a single-champion, singleton deck, with up to 2 regions in it. Previously players could have multiple non-champion copies and up to three regions.
  • You can no longer choose to obliterate your Jailed Champion if your board is full. Previously some players were using this as an easy way to release their champion without killing the Jailer.
  • Discarding your champion will no longer generate a Jailed Champion and Jailer! No more turn 3 ASol (well, until one of you figures out another way to break it).

Hey u/Kerubia, when was the last time you encountered a freeze like this? We believe we fixed the issue around 15 hours ago, 6:30pm pacific time yesterday. If there's another source of breakage out there we wanna know!

And if it's not fixed, yep this is a perfect workaround.

In the meanwhile I have workarounds to reduce the impact of those animations on me.

Tried a few changes to make Disable Motion also disable the EQ bars and speaker animations on the K/DA boards. Those seem to work well, so I'll make sure we ship them with v1.15. That'll come out for folks in a couple weeks!

Hi u/Ghaladh, needless to say I'm terribly sorry this is happening for you and others. Something in the game negatively impacting a player's health is a nightmare scenario.

I have a couple questions for you (or anyone else experiencing similar): - Is it the Lab board that's troublesome, or the one in the store? Or both, which seems likely? - If you had to guess, which elements on the board are most problematic? If it's tough or impossible to tell that's fine! - Are there any other animations or elements in the game that cause issues?

The response over the past couple weeks has made it pretty clear that it's a direction we should keep exploring. And that's exciting to us, too. :)

I really enjoy our game, and I'm lucky to have a good group of people around me who are all playing! But I get this feeling a lot, too.

Especially with the world the way it is right now, it's no wonder people are eager for games they can play directly with others. I wish I could play LoR with my friends in more ways, and I'm hopeful we'll get to explore that before too long... sounds like something Heimer might want to tinker with in his Lab, if you ask me.

In the meantime, I like to jump in a voice call with my friends or share screen while we climb ranked in parallel. Or use Friend Challenge and make over-confident wagers on who'll win, and then try desperately to find excuses when I lose. A lot.

And the Discord channels folks have recommended here are great. Give 'em a shot. :)

The Labs team moves real fast to try new things quickly, and we expect some bumps and bruises and bugs along the way. This was our first time incorporating main set card content into a Lab... and... as you can see, there was a glitch or two. Sorry for the confusion!

We'll fix up with the next release. In the meantime, check out those sweet prototype cards... once upon a time we used random pictures of cats from the internet for our dev cards, but stopped in case we accidentally shipped any of them. Kind of exactly like this.
