I’ve seen a couple of folks mention some weirdnesses with smart cast on controllers – appreciate this note, and am moving it to the bugs section of the forums so our QA team can investigate since this does not seem at all intentional.

Context is key; you are comparing an original announcement post with my direct reply to a poster’s in a thread over 6 months later. We are not bringing the system into the game with the current monetization that it has in other regions, and addressed this last June. I think this is unlikely that this will be developed, since the classes function very differently from each other and skins and what not can be highly specific as well. Plus, there are merits to playing alts in Lost Ark, so players are more often encouraged to create new characters.

Based on her correct selections this seems like a bug with the system, although it is true that after failing a CAPTCHA another 1-2 will soon pop up; this is to give folks another chance to correctly complete it.

Currently, because it is being tested, your friend will not receive any permanent marks against her account and should already be able to get back in-game. If it is decided that we will release this system to all live servers, it definitely needs a polish pass and we’ll put avenues in place through Customer Support for folks that run into issues with it. Hope that helps!

This original post is not at all accurate, and CantConnect has the correct idea. While we are not interested in bringing the system over as is due to dependencies on RNG and potential price, we are still looking for a way that we could distribute these skins to players while respecting concerns about making it feel unfair in comparison to how these skins are obtained in other regions.

Since there aren’t as many classes left to roll out, it’s going to be sort of dependent on what other content is rolling out and what classes we have to release. Things are still shifting on the roadmap past Q1 right now, so it’s all subject to change and a 4 month cadence isn’t set in stone forever.

Just so folks know this issue hasn’t been brushed aside – we still have not delivered compensation, and are still waiting on some outstanding data surrounding the impacting players. We expect to be able to resolve this later this week, once folks are back from Lunar New Year and we get that info.

No real update on a release at this point in time – it’s been back on the table for discussion to see if we can find a way to release it that makes sense, but we haven’t yet come to a consensus.

We’re working to assess the effectiveness of CAPTCHA with the ongoing test, but please keep in mind it is currently only being tested in a single region (North America West)

This thread took a pretty aggressive turn between some folks, so friendly reminder to respect each other and be kind.

While I can see how this may appear to be confusing, Chardis is the name of an internal tool. It is in fact named after the New World boss, but the tool itself is used with accounts for multiple Amazon Games. The name here is referencing that tool, and not the in-game New World boss, and is not an indicator of the reason for your ban.

I hope that clears up “Chardis” for folks who may be seeing this, but beyond that myself and the other staff members here on the forums don’t have access to the tools (Chardis included) needed to investigate player bans or suspensions. The only way to obtain additional information about a specific ban is directly through Customers Support.

It takes three separate failed CAPTCHAs to be kicked from game. Since this is a test system at the moment, if you missed three of these and were kicked, your account will not be suspended or have any penalties, and you’ll be able to get back into the game again very shortly.
