Any commands should always only be used when you know what you do, insofar we do not plan to implement any warnings, unfortunately. The wiki is showing what each command does and we always recommend to get used to commands on a test world first. Pretty much every single command when used wrongly can be dangerous, so it's absolute necessity to learn how they work before using them in production, no warning can offset that.

Commands at this point in development are also not a development goal, their current use is mostly for QA and many of them are still QA only commands that can onyl be used by players that own Developer Tier. Later on in the development process we'll surely take a look on making commands more straightforward and easy to use, but they will still always be stuff you need to know what you are doing - that's why they are only for admins.

I'll note that down for suggestion, but I can't guarantee that it will happen.
I unfortunately don't have the blur either, unfortunately. We generally have a bit small text on some things, like the coordinates at the map, but those are still well readable for me, but I did hear other people including with normal screensizes have issues with those.

Yes, we unfortunately do not plan any specific multi-screen support. But I do actually not have issues with scaling, unreadability or too much UI on a 48" 4K screen myself, if that is what you meant by "big".

We do not have any special support for that, I'm not sure if there is any third-party way to do it, unfortunately.

MacOS builds are only available as a non-supported early development version and the new M1 ones are not supported technically at all, unfortunately.

I'd need a bit more info than that to help you. Feel free to send an e-mail to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) with more details as well.

This happens when you can only connect to the server through our relay servers, meaning there is a network issue between the client and your server.

We eventually are going to introduce walls that are placed on the outer edge, but for now the middle walls are indeed the only option.

What exactly are you doing to view them and what doesn't work? Do you get errors, does the UI look broken, anything?

Comment

Animals are currently broken insofar they all behave like rabbits ( ;) ), it's one of the things we want to tackle in the next major update.

Also, I'm not sure why this post was reported as "Not respectful"?

Eco is in Early Access on Steam since February 2018, before it was only available in Alpha to buyers on our website and before that as an even earlier version only for buyers on kickstarter.

I think that Eco is in a very playable state, it definitely misses some more endgame content, though. In regards to bugs I can't really agree with you, there is a lot of them left and there is still some major things that need to be tackled, like the ominous performance and "why is my stuff invisible" issues that do not appear for everyone, can barely be safely reproduced (especially for the last one, which no dev can reproduce at all) or need a lot of time to be fixed as basically everything needs to be reworked over time (performance issues, or what people call 'the memory leak')

Hence in total I think it's right where it currently is.

And while that is, we can implement more of what we want to see in Eco from our Eco Tree, though the Eco Tree is not meant as a roadmap...

Saves are stored on the local PC they were started on, given they are just servers. They can get a very big size and a lots of automatic backups are created as well, so Steam Cloud won't work for them.

Make sure to also copy over the Configs folder, to keep your difficulty settings. If necessary, adapt the Network.eco to the new host.

As StalEF said correctly, that is already possible :)

We do plan to make Ecos nights darker in general again, but at least to my knowledge there is no simple way without source modding to make it darker at this point.

How do you do this? We followed the wiki command and config ,Require Authentication — True/False. We have been trying to figure this out today with no luck. Quickly leaning towards the refund sadly. :(
Require Authentication setting was for development purposes only and has since been... Read more
