We do also intend to implement a death penalty.

We are currently performing a pass over zones in Last Epoch to improve their lighting, replace some lower quality assets, and address some feedback that Chapter 1 feels a bit too ‘idyllic’.

Frozen Ire scales with level.

We don’t plan to transition to a system where all uniques (and set items and legendaries) scale with level, as that would negatively impact itemization due to there being many more clear-cut cases where builds have single, objectively Best In Slot pieces of equipment.

With regard to Humming Bee, that item was incredibly powerful and it did get toned down in response. It’s possible we hit it a little too hard; if I’m honest, we currently have limited time for balancing and we ...

It looks like your laptop has both an SSD (drive C), and a HDD (drive D) installed.

Unless I’m mistaken, it appears that the game is currently installed onto the slower HDD. Would it be possible to try moving the game over to the SSD and see whether that fixes it?

To clarify the behaviour here, it is intended that when you trigger a skill, your tree is utilized. We are working to make this clear where it shouldn’t happen, i.e. by renaming skills.

The same isn’t true of your minions using abilities; they don’t have your specialization trees. They are considered allies of you, but they do not count as being you. To offer an example of this, equipping a weapon with the Health on Melee Hit affix will not cause your minions to heal you (or themselves). This is the same logic - they do not have it equipped.

Currently the game client can be slow to get going, which we will be improving in future patches. The time estimate you’ve provided sounds excessive, but without knowing details such as the Operating System or SSD / HDD in question, it’s hard to say for certain.

I should note that we do only technically support Ubuntu, though I wouldn’t expect users of Linux Mint to encounter problems that people on Ubuntu don’t, and a friend of mine has been playing Last Epoch on Linux Mint without running into any issues.

Do you happen to know the manufacturer & model of the HDD or SSD you’re using?
