Are you excited for PAX? Dave is! Remember our friend Dave?

Eleventh Hour Games are excited to announce that we’ll be attending PAX West!
If you’re attending PAX West, be sure to check out our booth to;
We’re super excited to be attending the convention, and we can’t wait to meet some of you for the first time - as well as catching up with those of you we’ve seen at previous conventions.
Howdy!
Unique items are intended to have either affixes - or at the very least, combinations of affixes - which you cannot find on Rare items. While many affixes are balanced individually to be made available in the pool of affixes which items can roll randomly, some are too powerful for this, and thus must be balanced as part of an entire item. The intention is not for Unique items to be superior to Rare items, but to offer more choice and to enable new builds.
Item Sets are a natural evolution of Uniques. They take the concept of finding ways to permit powers too powerful to be made available normally; they come with a higher opportunity cost than Unique items, but come with modifiers not even a Unique item can offer.
Rare items are designed to be the bread and butter of equipment in Last Epoch. Unlike higher rarity items, they can be crafted upon to be made better - if their owner accepts the inherent risks involved with doing so, of course. In the same patch...

As you travel through time, you get to see first-hand how the events which occur have changed the world of Eterra. This is something we leverage when designing quests, zones, and enemies. In a future patch we will be adding the Fallen Osprix to certain Imperial Era zones.

In the Divine Era the Osprix were the proud servants of Rahyeh, the god of sky and fire, but with Rahyeh’s death their place in the world was put at risk. As the Immortal Empire embraced the powers of undeath, the Osprix were pushed further and... Read moreHey folks, got another update for you.
We’ve collaborated with our partner and got the Launcher working on Fedora. The workaround, consisting of downloading and running another small file, will still be required - however it won’t be necessary to play the game through Steam - both clients should work.
Unfortunately due to it being Sunday not everyone is available, and I’ll need to leave the house pretty soon myself. I expect we should be able to release both the Launcher update, and the separate download, sometime this week. I’ll be sure to post updates here as I get them.
I haven’t had an opportunity to test on other distros yet. I’ll try to find some time - and space! - to at least test on openSUSE early next week to check whether the fix helps other distros.
Apologies for the lack of communication on this as we work on both this and other issues!
Here’s a quick update on where we are;
Here’s the road ahead and where we stand;
Thanks for the report!
Thanks for the report!
If you haven’t run the game client again since this happened, could you please post a log file?

Our art team have been working on updates for our log in screen and loading screens!
Last Epoch’s current log in screen uses some of our oldest art. As much as we love this art, we believe that some of our more recent art is more detailed and better represents the current version of Last Epoch. The new art features the city of Welryn!
While we were working on the log in screen, we added a Settings button to it. You no longer need to log into the game in order to access and make changes to your settings.

We also wanted to update the art used by our loading screens. It’s going to take time for us t...
Read moreHi there,
I’m going to mark this thread as resolved due to our quick chat over on Discord. While I realize this post doesn’t resolve your issue, it isn’t actually possible to mark the first post as a solution.
Hey there,
Is this on Windows, Linux, or macOS? Which controller are you using?
Kickstarter backers: after too many delays we’re shipping out these little Chronowyrms soon! Each one has been 3d printed and hand-painted to ensure we’re satisfied with the quality of them. We hope you love them as much as we do!

Hi there!
Have you recently been guiding members of the community?
Balance is a funny thing. Different skills will have different power levels perceived as being appropriate for them, but sometimes that power level can be more effectively delivered than others. For example - you could have a very powerful, but very niche option. You often see examples of this in card games, where cards are deliberately designed as counters.
The longer the duration, the less powerful the effect will be. At six seconds long you’re going to run into cases where 30-50% of the duration occurs while you run to the next group of enemies, and in addition to not being very effective, that...
Read moreI’m not sure how likely it is their AI will be meaningfully improved prior to the implementation of multiplayer. While I think having a few different settings for their AI would be a good addition, it would be contending with multiplayer for the time of specific team members.
I’ll raise the issue in a meeting next week, but unfortunately it’ll likely be a while before something changes. But I could be wrong - I’ll try to remember to follow up here after doing so.
Hrm, I’m not sure I agree.
Certainly, if we were talking about a fight in World of Warcraft where two tanks in a 25 man raid were switching the boss’s attention between the two of them as they gained stacks of a debuff - yeah, this design would be ill-suited to that, and it’d likely need replacing entirely.
ARPGs usually revolve around engaging many enemies in a relatively short period of time, and we’re trying to avoid downtime caused by a non-player tank having relatively low health, and that discouraging the p...
