What I like to do is start a custom game and bring in dirt to build a floating farm. It's going to be tough using the default starting loadouts.

Someone had suggested adding floating debris and flotsam to the game to help find things in the Ocean tiles. I think this would be a cool addition. What do you think?

I noticed this recently. Sorry about that. I'll try to improve this!

Thanks for the feedback.

What world size did you set it to? I'll test this out and try to put out a patch as soon as I find out the cause.

You can remove dirt with the mine job.

As for the thatch roof, I'm not sure I understand the setup to provide some good answers. Could you show me a screenshot?

Thanks!

Feedback is indeed appreciated. I think you have some great points, and many of the things you've mentioned (stockpile priorities for example) are on my list of things to add.

I will say, I think you could provide your feedback in a less hostile manner. There's no need to swear and call people, "Fanboy droolfest." It's a $10 game that's in early access. There's no need to let it upset you so much because I'm more than happy to hear your feedback and improve the game. I'm extremely thankful for the feedback I get from players, but let's be respectful to each other.

Sorry you aren't have a great time. I still have a ton to do on the content side of things, which results in not a lot for players to be challenged by right now. That's next up on my list of tasks, so hopefully you can come back in the future to find more challenge.

Thank you for your feedback!

Another thing, I just noticed a small bug after capturing an Ardyn. The default Ardyn diet has everything set to restricted. I don't know if this is because human food is supposed to be off-limits for them, but I can give them a custom diet and they will eat it just fine.

Thank you for responding, it means a lot to be able to have a back-and-forth with the developer. Keep up the good work, I expect great things.

Edit: After going through the notifications menu, it seems that "Entity has no profession" doesn't have a setting (unless it's named something else). As far as I can tell, thi...

Thank you for the detailed and clear feedback! Capturing is very much half done. Lots coming to help improve it, especially in the next expansion because it will be a big part of the Ardyn playable race. I'll be focusing on tuning and tweaking the system.

I didn't know about that Nequhtli bug. Thanks for letting me know! You should be able to disable Nequhtli notifications for profession in the settings menu if it's becoming a nuisance. I'll address these capture related bugs for the expansion.

Cheers!

If you place a Vault room, the Ren will spawn there instead.

So how do you get settlers to do jobs when it seems like they have everything they need to do a job (items, zones, skills) but won't do it?

Oh! Good thinking! That's definitely what happened. Settling a previously settled town will indeed spawn a bunch of hostile entities. That's the only thing I can think of where that many entities would spawn while the threat rating was set to never.

Hmmm, when it's set to never, you shouldn't be attacked at all. Silly question, but did you apply the settings after changing to never? I'm sure you did, but it's easy to miss.

This is a strange bug because 15 is such a ridiculously high number, outside of spawning at all. You'd have to have a population of 60 to get that.

I'll do some more tests to see if I can reproduce this myself. Does this happen to you every time you start a new settlement?

Ok, I'm finally able to read your write-up!

Stockpiles
100% agree with your points, and this is next up on my list of to-do's. I'm going to add exclusion options (blacklist) and priorities.

Meat/Leather
I think a nice middle ground is a job in addition to those individual jobs which can use any of those items to get going. i.e., a general "butcher" job.

Coal
It's funny you bring this one up because I was JUST thinking about it the other day and how weird it is to be in the Wood Mill, and that it should use the Misc Skill. I didn't make those changes because I was so close to shipping the beta out to live, but also, I'm not sure what room to put it into. Any ideas?

Cages
I agree here as well. I have plans to add a 'hunt/gather' room and I think cage baiting/capturing would fit into this nicely.

Unit Pathing
Hmmm. Could be a bug. I'll check it out. They should be moving down your paths. My math could also be incorre... Read more
