Open the production window (K). At the top, you should see the "Add Blueprint" button. From here, you can add planting jobs.

Yay! That's great news. I need to make that more apparent. Thanks for taking the time to report the issue.

Hey! Sorry to hear you are encountering this issue. That's super frustrating!

Out of curiosity, do all the cooks assigned to the room have the cooking skill enabled? I'm sure you've check this but I thought I'd ask. It could also be that the settlers are focused on other, higher priority jobs. It sounds more like a behavior bug, but sometimes those things can cause hang-ups.

I'd be happy to take a look at your save to see exactly what's happening. If you are interested in that, here are the instructions:

Sounds like everything is set up properly and that's definitely not intended for them to stop auto-joining. The people that have decided to live alone, do they have companions?

Either way, it sounds like a bug. Does re-loading solve anything? I'd be happy to look at the save file too if you'd like to send it my way.

One behavior I've noticed that can happen is people stop mating because the entire city becomes one family. I'll be adding some things to help avoid this in the future.

Also, you need to capture animals in cages before you can use the capture job on them. The cage will capture the entity automatically when they walk over them. Just be sure to match the cage size to the animal size.

Also, merchants sometimes have them.

If you open the Diets window, it'll say what they eat. By default they eat meat. You can enable fodder for them to eat in there by creating a custom diet for them.

The world map only provides additional migration options after you start a settlement.

I will be adding lots more to it in the near future. The goal is to let players establish their own kingdoms on the world map. They'd be able to see other kingdoms and have diplomatic interactions with them.

Entities can only climb a max of one block high. You'll need to construct ladders and stairs to build higher. That way they can get up/down. Usually, I see people cut off the access back down when building a roof.

I am working on some solutions to keep them from getting stuck so much. It's a challenging thing to fix because, as a player, you don't want entities to be able to scale anything (then there's no point in having walls) but you also want them to climb things to build.

Settlers can drink unpurified water perfectly fine. There's no rush to purify water. Purified water just has longer buff durations. As long as you have any water around, your settlers should not be dying of thirst. Later on in development, I will add some long term affects of only drinking unpurified water, but right now you are fine.

That being said, I'll try to make it a bit easier to obtain purified water. I won't be bringing back the campfire room, but I'll see if I can make it easier to make in the kitchen. Maybe without needing a cauldron.

As for why I removed the campfire room. Simply put, it was a weird 'room'. It didn't fit and I was struggling to come up with other reasons to keep it around outside of purifying water. A lot of its uses were redundant with the Kitchen or other rooms.

Purified water is made in the Kitchen with a Cauldron.

You can get more stone from mining blocks like Kalite, Ridgestone, and Sandstone.

Hello!

I've been meaning to make an Odd Realm demo for a while now. I don't like seeing people buy the game only to realize the visual style isn't for them, or it doesn't run so well, or any number of reasons. No one wants buyer's remorse! That being said, you can now play the Odd Realm demo on Windows, Mac, and Linux. :)

The demo is the full version of the game with two limitations. First, players can only play as the Humans, and, second, saved games cannot be loaded. If players decide to buy the full version of the game, their saved files from the demo will be there to load.

That's it for now. I'm wrapping up the rest of the new race update, so look forward to news about that soon!

Thanks,
Waylon

Not yet. In the next update, items will change how the sprites look. As well, in the future, I'm going to make it possible to edit the character sprites for modding purposes.

You can use [Left Control + E] and [Left Control + Q] to change the zoom. Or, you can click the zoom in/out buttons on the top left of the hud.

Ahhh, I see the problem you're running into. Looks like a weird bug is happening when removing that specific hotkey (control). I'll need to put a fix in for the next update. I'm sorry you're running into this issue.

Greetings everyone!

I apologize for posting this so late in the month. My grandfather passed away just over a week ago and I had to attend to his funeral. I'm back to work now and I have lots of fun things to show today.

Skill Defaults Window One thing I've been meaning to add for ages is a window which lets you toggle the default enabled skills per profession and race.

It's pretty straight forward. Within the settlers window, there is a skill defaults sub window (seen above). This window shows all the default skills that are enabled/disabled for when an entity spawns. Players can also select which race to edit the skills for. So, let's say you wanted to disable mining for new Void Woken summons. You could select the Void Woken tab, navigate to their default profession, and turn off mining.

I would li... Read more

Hello!

Thank you for your interest in helping localize the game. When the 1.0 version of the game is finished (hopefully early next year), I will start work on localization. There's a lot of work to do regarding font and text resizing to allow for characters outside the English alphabet. I will need community support to localize each language and your help will be welcome then. :)
