An artificial short / small "bump" to the stats is not a good way to balance things, as its not the normal or natural day to day flow of things. The game is balanced across the whole player base as it stands on a periodically reviewed basis. Making events around specific individual vehicles and then basing BRs based solely on that is not a good data sample.

Whilst we have a main office in Hungary, like we do in Germany, Moscow is still the HQ for most of the War Thunder development. I can confirm that as I've been there myself )

Its BR was increased to an area where it now finds itself far more balanced at 10.0 and is not showing any signs currently that its BR needs to be changed again.

As for performance, im not sure what you mean. Flight performance is based on source and real world performance. Not tweaked artificially for balance.

As far as im aware in the last few BR reviews its been performing fine at 10.0, which is why it has not come down. Of course should things change, then BRs can too. But the GR.1 at least up to the last economical review showed no issues.

GR.1 never had flares and was not capable of mounting them.
