I'm not really sure what you are expecting. We are not at the point of where the F-104S ASA can be added or where AIM-9L can be given. Because it's important to remember, once you open the AIM-9L box, almost all top tier Phantoms and the later Harrier models can use them too. On top of the fact the R-60M is then possible for the MiG-21s and Yak-38s.

Even when the day does come for later F-104S models, the same situation will arise as Italy will then be waiting longer again for even higher generation aircaft like Tornado, Eurofighter and F-16 which are all ages away. Italy simply did not have the diversity that other nations had with regards to competitive fighters as they generally hung on to what they had for much longer.

That's not to say other jets of different nature's won't also come over time. But expecting Italy to constantly have a equal top tier rival to a nation like USA / UK / USSR for example is not goi...

Pretty much all of the content of the patch was shown. Right now it's just the fixes and finalisations to come.

Please don't expect to see more vehicles in this major.

Its important to note, Japan only has 3 Rank VI tanks as a whole, compared to those nations you are looking at who both have 10+, hence why their trees have more foddered content. The Japanese tree has far less to research already.

Comment

Quite a lot has changed for a lot of ground battles maps. Similarly there are changes that will be noticeable in all modes.

Comment

Its the same case as with the German Sea Hawk Mk 100 where the sidewinders were tested on the Mk 101.

And no, we do not plan to add SRAAM on the others as they all already have air-to-air missiles whilst GR.1 did not.

Comment

Its not the first time. Apaches for example were not a Pre-Order and there were others.

Comment

If a whole new engine and total rework of almost all graphical effects is "nothing special here" I don't think you quite understand the scale, resources and work that's required for such a development. It's not a minor thing at all. It's the sort of thing that happens once every generation of game consoles / standards. On top of that, we have major developments in the Naval area as well as the implementation of a whole new VTOL class and their respective mechanics. Huge interface, hanger and quality of life improvements and a plethora of other things.

These are massive developments to the game and the whole content of this patch is basically 2 majors worth. It's hardly a small set of changes.

All of this changes a significant amount of the game and thus is why the developers moved to a new 2.X version number from the 1.X chain.

Comment

It's not planned at the moment. But it's viable for a suggestion topic.

Comment

SRAAM was not just tested on Hunter F.6 but also on Hawkers company demonstator Harrier T.52 (T.2) G-VTOL to prove the viability of SRAAM on Harriers too.

Unfortunately SRAAM ultimately got canned after testing due to a defence review and the UK made the decision to buy "off the shelf" options like Sidewinders.

GR.1 never had Sidewinders of any kind. SRAAM was the only system tested during its lifespan and was added to the GR.1 based on Hawkers tests to make the aircraft more viable and interesting. Otherwise it would be a fairly overlooked addition except for the smaller group of people who are simply enthusiastic about the aircraft.

What, you guys dont have the update yet?

Italy's first event tank was just over a year ago: https://warthunder.com/en/news/6293-special-operation-h-e-a-t-en

This is not how Harrier should be used, I dont condone this >:(

Thats historical, they are thrust vectoring missiles.

If it is too powerful, then like everything else we will adjust the BR.

Comment

We have, but we must also consider the large majority of people who purchased this and do not wish to see the aircraft they purchased downgraded. Hence why this is the best option.

Comment

When I was asked, the person referenced the S.2, so I assumed they were claiming some sort of new UFP issue on the new variant not yet reported. This one has already been forwarded and I have already seen this one.

Comment

It's more modern and advanced than most, which was exactly my point. Regardless this is meaningless now.

Ive explained why it's not getting F.2 already.

Comment

Indeed and modern as I said is not purely about date of introduction but also how advanced it is. I have no idea what your trying to get at here as the point still stands.

Comment

Its not purely about year of introduction.

Leclerc is on top of many MBTs.

2A6 is being added alongside the T-90. Consider in quite a few cases, Leclerc won't even fight 2A6 but alongside it. Even when it does, it's current ammo is more than sufficient.

F.2 is a leap ahead that we don't need right now and isn't coming at this moment. S.2 will be strong enough.

Comment

Both only just added to the game in the last 3 patches.

Most nations are using even older than that.

2A6 is one tank. Leclerc was already a powerful tank before, but was let down mostly by the fact it had no backup. Now we have a second that situation has improved and there is no need at all for the S.2 to have better ammo right now when the S.1 by itself was already strong and the ammo is still one of the best shells in game.

If the situation calls for new ammo, it will be considered. But right now, there is no need at all.

Lots of top tanks don't have their maximum possible ammo.

Leclerc was already on par with most nations tanks and was actually ahead of a few too.

There is no need for this shell at all at the moment.

There are lots of tanks in game that do not have their maximum possible ammunition. Leclerc is no exception to that.
