this is actually an issue on facebook's end - they changed their settings recently for whatever reason.

i thought i'd comment as you clearly put a lot of effort in and you have some great ideas here.
however, i agree with the other commenters here that because of the way that clash royale is designed, it is hard to compare to games like hearthstone or magic the gathering etc. the original royale designers and seth, stefu etc who were the old designers areall mad board game geeks and seth especially is a huge fan of MTG.
these games work with lots of cards because they're turn based, and cards can be really simple like 'add +1 Elixir' 'Player skips their turn' etc and lots of 'filler' mechanics that allow these games to produce huge sets easily.
i think it's a cool idea, and i love the saga idea! but i just don't think it would translate well to clash royale. if we ever made a turn based card game - this would be an awesome jumping off point! but for clash royale in its current state it would ...

our player support have access to these and can see chest contents etc, so even without evidence on your side, our team will have what they need on their side

I am happy this decision has been made. However, I am saddened that we even went down this path. Not sure how the thought process went in thinking returning to a system we already know was broken would yield a different result. I am pretty sure this is the very definition of insanity. But putting that behind us..... why would SC allow the community to get so upset and fail to communicate with us. Weeks have past and nothing despite pleas for your acknowledgement???
i gotta disagree that this was returning to a system that was broken. obviously we wouldn't just make a change that is negative to the players if we thought it was going to yield a negative result. here was our thinking/more context with the previous change (copypasted from our team chat - it's pretty casual so some terminology will be incorrect)
When we released Trophy Road in 2019, we overinflated trophy generation (we allowed players to earn more trophies for wins than lost trophies for losses). This artificially pushed players up the ladder faster than before (compounded by the addition of the Trophy Gates). The impact was:

It’s the biggest shock of my life and I have no idea how to cope and sort everything that I need to. He was a happy man and always took pleasure in the simple things. I got him onto clash royals a while back and though I haven’t played in a couple years, he still loved it and played daily. Thanks to his phone log I can piece together his final moments- he woke up about 5am, sent some gifts and Pokemon go, played a game of clash royale after, then went back to bed and had a heart attack in his sleep.
If any devs see this, I want you to know the joy you brought to a great man, and I am grateful that his last moments were playing a stupid game happy and oblivious, rather than ever having to suffer. When elections come around, candidates tend to use generalities and such to support positions instead of concrete task analyses (e.g. step 1, 2, 3, etc.). This video is similar in that it doesn’t address anything aside from general feelings about the update. My feelings about the update are bittersweet. I like ladder being harder to climb, but being in the pacific time zone, I don’t like the race aspect to CW2 and I feel like it’ll never get fixed. We understand that the infrastructure of the game itself has changed and that is hard to revert (e.g. “go back to cw1” hot takes), but if we in the PST have to wait until the quarterly update to get a fair race, that will be a big problem. So, there are problems with only general solutions and not specific fixes planned. That is really all we need. Cheers! If you’re ever in Seattle, let’s grab coffee.

that’s a really good example actually, i will always understand people wanting more concrete information that relates to gameplay and updates so that’s a valid feedback. maybe it is worth holding off on communication until there are more concrete plans to reveal.
i guess as it was split into 2 vids with the 2nd containing more info this was also valid criticism, this first video didn’t really give anything new!
i guess my gripe was that myself as a person was criticized here. but your point there also stands about the bias affecting objective opinions, so thanks for that.

Is it just me or it had very little substance for a 23 minute video? There was no real conviction, no confidence, no concrete updates, no honesty or real emotion in the words. It was like he was saying something for the sake of it. Drew was super defensive even with someone like CWA who is a very reasonable person. There is no shame in accepting mistakes and honestly we all make mistakes, what takes courage is accepting them and making a confident clear plan to rectify them. The plan may not work out 100% but without a plan we have nothing
not going to lie, reading through this comment (and the one below it) was extremely confusing and upsetting for me to hear. the upvoted comment below saying i was arrogant and condescending towards ash was CRAZY to read. i’m sure ash himself would not have done an interview with me if i was truly acting that way.
this interview is me in the most casual of vibes, just having a candid, open and honest chat with CWA that was really fun to me. i’m being as open as i can be and this is absolutely a natural interview... so it is extremely hard for me to understand how this came across as having ‘no conviction, no honesty or real emotion’. this was an outside of work hours call chatting to a guy who i respect and talking about one of my main passions in life.

Any update on this Drew? It’s a real problem sometimes (hard to replicate the issue). Gameplay is running at 1/2 frames during matches when this occurs.
no update on this - we couldnt replicate it on our iphone 12 devices so it must need some more triggers
