Hey!
You will need to re-pre-order again once the new exact release date is announced.
Thanks a million :)

Hey!
You should have received a refund if you pre-ordered on console regardless of platform. You will need to re-pre-order again once the new exact release date is announced. If you haven't received a refund at this stage you'd need to contact the relevant customer support at Sony or Microsoft.
Thanks a million :)
AJ
Hey!
The game will be available for pre-order for consoles once the exact release date has been revealed.
Thanks a million :) AJ
@cdntdog
Can confirm that the game can either be played Solo or with up to 2 teammates online.

Hey!
That is indeed an error. Would you mind telling me which country you are trying to access the Connect Store from?
Is this the desktop app or the mobile app?

Read moreIt seems you’re missing my point. I said nothing in regards to misguided expectations, the main issue I brought up in the previous comment was the lack of value in the game, especially when you take into account the high price tag and the value we could have gotten from shared cosmetics (given the fact that Extraction reuses models made for Siege). It’s just a fact that the majority of Extraction is taken from Siege (and for some reason what appears to be at least one asset from The Division), which in itself would not be an issue if there wasn’t such a high asking price, backwards method of handling cosmetics, and complete lack of integration with Siege. When Activision and Epic released significantly different (in terms of gameplay) modes for their games (MW 2019 and Fortnite respectively) they didn’t charge their players extra, in fact they made it free to everyone, earning their money off of cosmetics and main game sales. They also integrated those products with the main game a...
I mentioned expectations as Extraction has always been advertised as it was going to be a full price AAA game using the Siege Operators. But all of a sudden, people are acting as if it was a fast one that was pulled. No one was deceived yet the community is acting as if they were and fabricated these expectations themselves.
You state it as fact that the majority of Extraction is taken from Siege. Aside from the common Operators and weapons/gadgets/Outbreak Enemies, the rest of the stuff is new.
If you create brand new Ops/Enemies/Weapons, it ceases to be a Rainbow Six game.
You’re also ignoring the new stuff, which includes 12 maps that are all 3 times the size of Siege maps that are brand new. There’s new gadgets and new enemies as well. Don’t forget the tweaks to certain Operators’ gadgets.
Don’t forget the entire progression structure, both on a general level and Operator level. Something that doesn’t exist in Siege. There’s also the MIA syst...
Read moreYou were able to apply the U Credit discount? I tried applying it to the Xbox version the other day and it said that it didn’t apply to this product and I was bummed.
You cannot currently pre-order the game on digital console storefronts. You will be able to once the new exact release date has been revealed.
Hey!
Nothing to share about any price lowering but just want to clarify that there won’t be a price advantage to purchasing the game after release unless it is during a sale. You’ll pay the same price now than you would on release day.

If I said that things were “slightly different” to my professor after he saw that I copy and pasted an assignment and changed a few things around he would still give me a suspension.
Not if long before the assignment was submitted you made it clear that certain things (in this case the Operators) were going to be reused. As was the case here as it has always been clear that Extraction would be using the Operators from Siege.
Yet the community seems to be completely taken aback that the same Operators have been used.
The community created this expectation themselves for some reason despite the initial teaser from E3 clearly only featuring Siege Ops.
Okay... Instead of cross why not just siege -> extraction? There is no way to read the inventory of a player at all? It's all just data, I can't imagine anyone with the know how would have trouble copying some data via SQL. If the data is incompatible that's because the game was created without compatibility in mind which isn't just an assumption, it would've had to have been a very deliberate decision seeing as animations, sounds, etc... All seem to have been taken straight from Siege.
Game Level Code and Account Level Code are two very different things.
Yes the two games are made using the same base engine in Anvil but you cannot underestimate the complexity of trying to adapt modern things like Crossplay and Cross Progression to a 6 year old game and these things have nothing to do with assets, animations etc.
I would recommend listening to the recent episode of the Hot Breach Podcast where 2 of the Siege team members explain how much Account security has made it very difficult for them to implement a Streamer Mode in Siege among many other things. Complexity is why it's taking longer to implement the Console Crossplay in Siege as well.
I cannot stress enough that unless a game is built from the ground up with these things in mind from Day 1, it's really difficult to implement them after the fact. It's never as simple as we think.
Hey.
For 2 separate games to have cross inventories BOTH of those games would have had to have been originally designed with that feature in mind from day 1.
When Siege was released in 2015 the concept of Crossplay and Cross Progression was merely just that, a concept.
You cannot just magically wave a wand and have 2 games, released 6 years apart have a cross inventory function.
I also feel you are upset based on the assumption that you will need to pay for a skin that’s similar to one in Siege.
There is a famous saying about what happens when you make assumptions.

The Vigil skin/charm is a reward for Rainbow Six Extraction and not Siege but you earn it by playing Siege.
You will need to contact Customer Support if you feel you are missing a Reward Containment Pack.

Rainbow Six Extraction is a purely PvE game. The Containment event in Rainbow Six Siege is merely inspired by Rainbow Six Extraction. They are two completely separate things.
