Hello @Vaknar , In EVE Online, we have reputable players who hold the deposit of money, and they only transfer the funds to the other party once it is established that both parties have fulfilled their promises...

I am a lover of player driven content, but there is a catch here, AoC needs a tiny system because it is not possible withdrawing money from the Node.

AoC differs from EVE in that you cannot withdraw the money from the Node and keep it for yourself. In EVE, however, it is possible to take the corporation's money and abscond with it. In fact, scamming is one of the 108 careers suggested by the developers.

I think AoC requires a system for using the Node's money to pay ransoms. To facilitate this, a window should be created where the mayor can allocate funds from the node.. Even citizens and non-citizens should be able to donate money by walking up to the Node's bulletin board, clicking the ...

We're just as excited to participate and play in Alpha Two as everyone here. It's challenging at times to remain patient for the game. Open development is bittersweet when you're excited, as some have already pointed out.

We try to show off content as soon as it's ready to be shown off. We know there are some specific systems that players want to learn more about. The teams that work on those systems are hard at work, and we are excited to show off as much as we can, as soon as it's ready!

So, do you think this would only work if it were an integrated system? Or, do you think players could make social and verbal agreements that could accomplish such actions and goals (for the most part)?

I think when there are opportunities to make verbal agreements like this, politics, intrigue, and sabotage become more.. interesting?

Interesting to see an array of opinions on data mining. I could understand arguments for or against it, speaking from personal experience with other MMOs I've played.

I believe there will be some stuff that the team does not want data mined... This could make for a potential question for our next Q&A! :wink:

We certainly aim to make a game that stands out from the crowd and is different. Some things that lessen the experiences for players are in the hands of the players themselves, while some things can be controlled more easily by the game's developers.

Let's look at your example of min-maxing characters. With all the different customization possibilities for your character, such as augments, weapons, archetypes, classes, etc. There will be many different flavors if gameplay to create. With systems ranging from Node sieges to raids, there will be many different activities to apply those customizations of your character to. This, coupled with no DPS meters and no add-ons, should provide players with the means to create what they want, and not necessarily be wrong for doing so :)

So when combat is criticized as bland, I personally feel it is because of the choices that were made when determining the interactions between PC and NPC. Not polish.

Dev Discussion - Training (PvP)

There's so much potential when it comes to designing bosses around our group sizes, 8 different archetypes, 64 different classes, and the fact that many encounters will be a part of open-world dungeons.

Love to see creative ideas for how boss fights could interact with the different facets of these systems :)
