Welcome, we just headed out of Alpha1 and no release date is known yet. There's also no public playtest available currently. I suggest you join the Discord server if you're interested in receiving the latest news!

Ashes of Creation - Lore and Story Hopes

Story is definitely important to the team and the game. The game's lore is based off of many, many years of story development done by Steven. We have an awesome team of writers who have taken that foundation of lore from Steven and have begun developing it into something epic!

Also, since you mentioned WoW, Ashes of Creation will also have expansions that will surely have story and lore developments, I imagine ;) https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Expansions

Haha, I was going to say exactly this until I reached the bottom of the thread and read this comment. Many people suggested this feature with the app integration topic as @maouw said. I sent that information to the designers and they'll take it from there and decide what to do!

So, with that being said on Tank identity, I'd ask - *should* Tanks have an effective taunt ability in PvP at all, or is their identity as a Tank strong and potent enough in PvP that it doesn't require it? Good topic!

Is the plate mail set what the knights wore before the battle, or was it salvaged after the battle?
It looks a bit ratty but it doesn't mention its condition in the description.

If its like new I'll buy one!

Same with the ship. The sails look unkempt. Is it a 'salvage' too, or in pristine condition?

Can we get a non-soiled Lightpact cape? Please? /me puppy eyes

They all look really good! <3

I just really, really wish we could get some clarification on those freehold skins soon. What are we buying exactly? The rest make sense, but a light house? Can we place it inland? Coastal only? Does it light up the area? What function does the building serve? Is it instead of the house on the freehold? I mean, that would be cool to live in a light house and all. Where, what, why?



We're continuing to work with our design team to provide details on what type of freehold building each cosmetic would cover, for both past and future items!
