Which has also resulted in everyone's draft decks being Zendikar Rising lands instead of Baldur's Gate lands. Which is kind of funny but also hopefully something that will be fixed, because otherwise we'll probably never see the current set's lands being the default in draft decks again.

This is a bug that will be fixed soon

This is a bug that we will fix soon. There are some cards that can no longer be crafted, and those will no longer be required for set completion.

I had QA investigate this (just for your cakeday), but they found everything working as we would expect. Do you have more details around the precise situation?

That's a bug; we'll get it fixed (it shouldn't count those beta-gift PWs or similar cards you can no longer craft)

Huh, looks like we missed it in the release notes, but we did add this stop in today's update: "If the opponent controls a permanent that triggers whenever you draw a card AND that permanent entered the battlefield since your last turn, you get priority during your upkeep with an empty stack if you have any legal AND affordable actions."

Note that this will only put the stop automatically on the turn Sheoldred is played. After that it's up to you to put a stop on your upkeep if you want one.

I can officially say that we've made no such statement :)

It definitely shouldn't happen. This bug looks to be specific to piles not working properly on 4:3 devices (like tablets).

I didn't know thanks, just panicked on the moment and grabbed the phone

Thanks for the report; we're actively investigating. Also, the phone video lets us see where you're tapping, which is useful.

What about Jumpstart tokens?

There was an article that inappropriately said there would be jumpstart tokens. That was an error, and it has been corrected

Green glow means they’re part of the Renewal Rewards, special bonuses we add at rotation to help existing players get into the new environment

Looks like this should be fixed with the DMU release

Thanks bot, but I deleted that comment because QA realized the chains from the Stun counters don't have this problem, but normal "won't untap" chains do. So there's still a bug to solve.

I was thinking maybe they would mention it here. (since they haven’t via social media), or an extension of the Summer Sale, but I guess not.

Two of those bundles are coming back this morning. We’re still working on resolving the problem with the third.

This is accurate. Limited balance was the motivation for (most of) these changes, but the changes apply in all of Arena's Live formats (Alchemy, HBG Draft, Historic, Historic Brawl, etc.)

How are the limited rebalances going to work with people who have already drafted their decks? Will anyone with an ongoing draft have to go and manually replace the old cards by the rebalanced ones?

Everything should hot-swap automatically

That appears to be the case. We'll keep looking for any others.

I'm guessing because the discount on having part of the bundle wasn't applying correctly. Other people were saying it was the same flat cost no matter how many of them they already had.

This is correct. It wasn't discounting for they styles already in your collection. It should be back next week, once we've fixed the issue

Additional Premier Drafts

  • July 22-28: Innistrad: Midnight Hunt
  • July 28-August 2: Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

Shouldn't the second one be Innistrad: Crimson Vow? Why would they list Midnight Hunt twice?

Second one there should be VOW, as you say. We'll get it corrected in the article.

Before rotation each year we refresh the 10 dual-color starter decks and ensure that all players have the cards needed to play them (so everyone always has decks they can play in the rotating formats). You're probably seeing the new cards added for that, and you can find those new decks in your Starter Decks folder.

See the "New Player Decks" section here for more info on that: https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-digital/mtg-arena-renewal-rotation

As others here said, this is a bug and nothing intentional. We're working to get it fixed soon.
