I'm actually really interested in seeing people's opinions on this. I've been thinking reskins of pets might be an interesting way to go and was part of a design for a project we were forced to shelve (long story), so I'd be interested to see whether reskins of existing pets and familiars is the sort of thing that players would actually like.

Party pooper moment. The Araxxor Quest is a game jam project. Game jam projects are NOT guaranteed to make it into the game. I mean I hope it does, but I wouldn't assume it's guaranteed.

Maybe at some point in the future we'll add another city. But it won't be as part of this quest.

Eh in this case there's a non-zero chance it would error unless I actually made the skill go to 120... which is a bit much for a 1 second "heh" level joke. ;)

Yes, it should be out shortly agter Halloween as they won't be able to complete it by Halloween.

This is not how this works. As we realised we couldn't meet the Halloween deadline we've adjusted things so they fit much better in the overall story. *IF* (and it is only an if, this is a gamejam project not guaranteed content) we release this quest it's likely to fall sometime next year.

Just give us beans (item) and place them into bank.

Don't forget bean is real item before we add them to the currency pouch during POF tutorial.

Like chimes and taijutus from ED1 chest, shattered anima from merchant.

To be fair this might be what we do, I used the sack of beans bit as it depends on a couple of technical quibbles I need to investigate. My main point being you will not lose out on beans.

Yes.

Yes it should include those as well.

The current plan is to convert magic beans into "bags of beans" (name pending). Using one of these bags will convert it into the value of the magic beans available from the farm. This means you can store past the limit of beans on the farm in your bank as with existing magic beans and still have the option of purchasing one of the growth potions if you want the effect.

Ultimately you shouldn't be out any beans.

With Archaeology around the corner and Senntisten in ruins (presumably?), rebuilding the city could easily be a long-term event kind of thing (without MTX of course).

Having the event take a while would also give you guys time to develop the actual final touches to it - and considering the only real 'undercities' we have are Keldagrim and Dorgesh-Kaan (off the top of my head), it would be nice to have a third, more graphically updated, city.

As a possible future piece of content, sure, it's a good suggestion. But a new city is MASSIVE undertaking (we're talking the 6 month minimum approach) and unless it has a REALLY solid purpose it's not really the best use of that time when we could provide lots of other content instead.

Certainly it's something to suggest and something we'll consider for the future, but in the context of this quest it's just not feasible.

We won't.

Another city, something like Menaphos or Prif is a massive undertaking and, frankly, there's not really space for such a thing in the game right now (it would need a purpose and that purpose has already been claimed by the other cities).

This will be a quest. It'll be an interesting quest with lots to learn, but no, it won't be a whole new city.

So I'm, going to step in here as this isn't actually a lore question. This is a production question and honestly it sits outside of the remit of the lore council to answer. So the on stage answer would not be satisfying.

Ironically the decision previously to not follow the story directly was as a result of player feedback, so we instead went looking at finishing 5th age storylines (Menaphos, which yes isn't finished) and Pieces of Hate, as well as a focus on smaller more comedic quests (Cheesecake, Evil Dave, Back to the Freezer).

As you may have noticed we are moving to a more directed story path. I.e most updates now tie together narratively, rather than every story update being delivered through quests. This will be continuing in future with an internal focus to make sure that as many updates as possible tie into the story in some way.

We always want to do more quests, but the big lavish quests are expensive (time wise) to produce and come at the c...
