Which is absurd. He's like Destiny's own Mr. Krabs. How could he not accept a bribe?

Known issue under investigation. Couldn't hit it with this hotfix. We'll get you an update when we know more.

This week at Bungie, we revealed the next chapter of Destiny 2.

Today’s been fun. The week started with a Chalice and led to a reveal. Earlier today, we hosted a stream to unveil the next chapter for Destiny 2. If you’ve somehow found yourself reading this article without seeing the news, let’s get you caught up.

Everything you need to know can be found here. Shadowkeep is on the horizon, with Eris calling upon Guardians to return to the moon and challenge Nightmares from their past. New Light will introduce Guardians to the world of Destiny. Stadia and Steam will provide new ways for players to join our community, and Cross Save will unite them on the same journey together.
We’ll be diving deeper into all of these projects throughout the summer. Our next stop will be E3, though we won’t have the usual booth and fanfare this year. Inste... Read more

Think of it this way: You're now selecting the bounties you wish to complete rather than having to discard ones you don't care for that are randomly pushed into your inventory.

Player choice.

Could you not offset this loss in avenue of enhancement cores by buffing the enhancement core rewards of the vendors?

With Bounties being moved to the Gunsmith, the loss is being offset to a degree. Where players would only have a chance to earn said bounties from sharding legendaries, they can now just pick them up every day at a small cost of glim-glam.

As such, what some players saw as 1 bounty every day or two is now a few bounties daily.

so what was the point of these then?

The quest may still be completed by alt characters for rewards and associated triumphs.

There will be other powerful reward sources in Season of Opulence, which begins in a little over 20 minutes...

Scrapper bounties will no longer drop when dismantling gear.

Really? After the universal response to these announced changes was "Adding bounties to Banshee is good but removing the Scrapper bounties is completely unnecessary"?

Yep. With low completion rates for scrapper bounties, and a limited bounty inventory, the decision was made to remove these.

When first implemented, they created an issue where players would hit a crash if the bounty went to postmaster. Due to this, low completion rates, and general feedback on RNG acquisition of the bounties, design direction for bounties overall is moving towards a deterministic acquisition (picking up from vendors) rather than random drops.

We'll be watching the conversation and completion rates for the Gunsmith bounties, alongside masterwork core acquisition/usage, to see what other tweaks need to be made.

Cheers to all who've been giving the feedback. We'll continue to pass it on, and give status updates when we can.
