This week at Bungie, Saladin joins the Revelry.

The Power-enabled combat of Iron Banner is live, and Guardians are mixing things up a bit. Wolf’s Favors, Iron Burdens, and the Reveler’s Tonic have all combined for a lively event. Whether you’re skipping grenades or hunting Iron Banner rewards, this is a week to break the rules and experiment with your loadouts. Double Valor is currently available, with Triple Valor beginning tomorrow at 10 AM PDT.
Last week, we covered some sandbox Super tuning on its way in Destiny 2 Update 2.2.2, pla... Read more

Thank you for reporting this issue. I'll make sure to pass this along to the team immediately.

Suggested workaround as follows: https://twitter.com/A_dmg04/status/1120798129417097216

Re: Ornaments

Checking with the team last week, we've got the following info for you!

  • Ornaments have a similar set-up to the Reckoning weapons after update 2.2.1
  • Chances increase with each package purchased that does not contain an Ornament

NOTE: This is Character based. If you are hopping around from character to character and purchasing packages, your chances are increasing, but steadily across each. If you're looking to earn the ornaments, I suggest sticking to a single character when buying the packages to have the best chances before the event ends. We've tested this internally, and I've done the same on my account at home over the weekend to make sure.

That said, the team is aware of feedback over the contents of the packages, the price of them, and the desire for ornaments to last longer than the event. As with the Tonic, the time it would take to develop changes, properly test them, and deploy would take...

You know you're in for a fun ride when the entire opposing team is using Rat King.

We’re looking into options here. We are in a world where turning orbs back on in Gambit would risk a very large portion of games played over the course of three weeks.

While some in this thread were noting that they didn’t have issues, we were witnessing a very large increase in errors that impacted the entire population, whether they were engaging in Revelry or just playing Gambit for Gambit.

That said, we are looking at potential options here, reducing orb requirements for the competitive (Gambit/Crucible) triumph being one of them. Can’t make promises yet, but the team is investigating and aware of this feedback.

We will give you an update when we can.

To make this clear- the change was shipped in update 2.2.1, this is simply a missed patch note.

Wanted to make sure we provided context and transparency.

Hey all,

We've just come across a minor change to Striker Titans that was not included in the last round of patch notes from Destiny 2 Update 2.2.1. We wanted to give a bit of context for the change, so here's a quick writup from the team:

Sandbox: For Arc Week we made a bunch of changes to the Striker Bottom Path. The result of these changes was an increased effectiveness at performing melee kills. This, combined with the previous buffs to the super to make it last longer and therein get more melee kills, led us to the thinking that ...

Did you purchase these packages on a single character, or over multiple?

Also, did you receive any Enhancement cores?

I've been seeing some reports of this, but trying to nail down some of the details on what players are experiencing.

I don't believe we have the ability to do this, but I can ask.

If we don't, there's potential for this to be something we add as a QOL feature for the future. Can't make a promise on that, but we'll make sure the team is aware.

If you have a video, please post it to the #Help forum. We’re looking into a bug where Thorn will prevent damage from CR in some instances. We haven’t been able to repro a shorter duration or lower damage in our tests.

This week at Bungie, something funny happened on the way to Arc Week.

On Tuesday, the celebration of Arc energy began. A sandbox update refreshed Arc subclasses that launched with Destiny 2. Vendors in the Tower invited you to take the changes for a spin through various bounties. The Lost Cryptarch quest has returned for Guardians looking for a direct path to the Thunderlord, which will be available through April 23. If you solved the mystery of the Lost Cryptarch during Festival of the Lost, you too can visit Old Russia again—and be sure to check around the frozen wastes outside the Wall. You may find a few scannables hidden among the rubble.

Hey all,

A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components! Please note- this is all still in development, and could change.

  • Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
  • There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
  • There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
  • Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, not Glory.

The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.
