I don't think I've seen this before - that's awesome!
To expand on NegativeConsequences's comment: When the server starts up it advertises its settings to the Steam server list. In this case, for example, it may have advertised it was a PvE server. When you went to join it, however, it reported to your client that it was actually configured as the opposite (PvP in the example). We don't manually flag servers for this, but the client will disconnect if it happens to help avoid a frustrating realization later. It's possible the server is using a plugin that changed the PvE/PvP mode without updating the advertisement.
The legend himself. Thank you for making the game of my adolescent memories. Been playing since the beta and I still play unturned from time to time.
Have a good one Nelson, take care
Haha thank you for your kind words and longtime support Karmallamah! I'm honored that it features in your adolescent memories. :)
Nice job on the text animations, they're really slick! I didn't like the sudden volume spike though. You have a nice voice and I'd suggest using your own voice instead of the AI one in the future!
Have you already read any official guides/documentation, such as https://docs.smartlydressedgames.com/en/stable/servers/server-hosting.html ?
Install the mod/map to your server via the WorkshopDownloadConfig.json file. Use the Map command to your server's Commands.dat file to load your desired map.
Oh Hey! Fun to see you Here!
Definitely something that could really get rid of a lot of toxicity and cheaters but more so give people that tight nit community that some corners of the Server browser are sorely lacking in. Aside from that it does create quite the challenge on the advertising side of things but at the end of the day its a "Community Style" it seems.
P.s.
Loved the 10Yr Anniversary Post Btw, your game is quite literally my favorite game going through my early 20's because of its features and community and asset support. Keep Up the amazing work!
Thank you for your kind words! ^_^
It depends how wide the game window is. If it's below a certain width it will put the nearby section at the bottom so that wide storage doesn't require a horizontal scroll bar.
This sounds like a cool idea. Best wishes with your server and community! Requiring approval before joining seems like it will help weed out cheaters and griefers.
Good thing aerodynamics aren't a factor! 😅
It was quite impressive to see and I certainly wish keyneed the best with his new project!
Great questions! Best wishes with your new server. I hope you can get the feedback you seek!
Those look awesome, great work! Nice color coding on the ammunition.
Nice job and really satisfyingly organized!
You need to add the Map command to the Commands.dat file, not the Config.json file
https://docs.smartlydressedgames.com/en/stable/servers/server-hosting.html
Read moreI have done so, and it worked, Thanks! But how would I go about adding the Border back? I'm also facing the problem, that after a certain point there is just no more water, can I also configure this in the config or is there a different approach to that?
You can add Player Clip volumes from the Volumes tab, from within the editor. Use these to make your map border.
Yes – you can disable the legacy/default water similar to how you disabled borders. Then you can manually add your own Water volumes from within the map editor.
You can disable the border from your map's config file, and then manually add a new one using volumes from within the editor.
Thats not the issue, theres atleast 100 spawns or more so that cant be it. whenever i set all vehicle spawn stats to just one less, it works alright but then some things wont spawn
Vehicle spawn points all have an equal chance of being chosen (if there isn't already a vehicle on top of the spawn point).
The default cap for an Insane-sized map is 64 vehicles. (32 for large, 16 for medium, 8 for small, and 4 for tiny.) If you have 100 vehicle spawn points, and you haven't adjusted the cap, you're definitely running into the cap before every vehicle spawnpoint is utilized.
There's a max number of vehicles that can be spawned at a time.
Neat. :)
