It's pretty much the same with Steam Achievements, Trading Cards and Points Shop Items.

Devs will decide on that after the game has reached its final version.

We know it is annoying. The downloads are caused by a Steam setting called 'Shader Pre-Caching' and this has nothing to do with Iron Gate or Valheim in general.

Please refrain from creating new threads on the topic matter!

These small updates are pre-compiled GPU Shader downloads. Shaders help Vulkan and OpenGL games to load faster and improve framerate stability during gameplay.

If you wish to disable this option, just disable Shader Pre-Caching here:
Steam > Settings > Shader Pre-Caching

Since they are domestic & you can get close enough, you will need a butchers knife instead of a general weapon.

Tbh I wouldn't trust Steam's Cloud Saves. Better back-up your Valheim Saves on a USB. If it has worked with the Cloud, you're good. If not, you've got a safety net.

Regarding: In-Game Gamma/Brightness/Contrast Settings The devs will maybe implement such settings in the future.

Meanwhile, we ask you to please check your monitor settings! You should be able to adjust gamma/brightness/contrast directly in the settings of your monitor. That's also one of the reasons why these settings are not yet implemented in-game.

It's a problem on your end, therefore devs wouldn't be able to help.

Game Progress is stored on your PC and in the Steam Cloud (if Steam Cloud is activated). Those files probably have been overwritten or got deleted. This could have many reasons, and your chances for getting your old save back are really low. In the future, back up your saves.

Remember you can paste multiple screenshots in one post.

You might want to try applying the tweaks in this guide - https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/lizxq9/valheim_fps_fix_benchmark_picture_guide_gained_an/ - and see if that helps you out. Without knowing all your individual specs it's hard to suggest what could be the issue but it's probably something on your machine settings. The tweaks in the guide I linked should help tho.

I'm sure you already have everything updated, but double check your graphics card is updated as well.
