No, the game will not release in 2022. And yes, the price will most likely increase.

I know this thread is a bit older, but let me post the official test results (since no one did it):

Steam Deck Compatibility [Build: 7377941]

• This game sometimes shows mouse, keyboard, or non-Steam-Deck controller icons
  
• Some in-game text is small and may be difficult to read
  
• All functionality is accessible when using the default controller configuration
  
• This game's default graphics configuration performs well on Steam Deck

This test was performed by Valve on 29th Nov. 2021, so once the Steam Deck ships to customers, some things from the list above might be improved/fixed already.

Sorry to disappoint, but a final decision regarding this has been made already.

Like DirectX and OpenGL, Vulkan is an API. Vulkan is designed to offer greater performance, so it is generally recommended to use Vulkan when you have performance issues. It usually should improve your FPS.

I suggest reading through the latest Blog Posts and occasionally visiting Valheim's Twitter page. Then you're up-to-date and have seen every sneak peak.

You can play as single-player without problems.

The game was released in Feb. They spent months on fixing bugs and improving the game's performance (because no one expected and the game wasn't made for such a huge playerbase). After that, they immediately started hiring and started working on new content.

Trust me, they don't sit in a corner and twiddling their thumbs.

Money doesn't magically speed up the development or increases the team's size.

Iron Gate chose a stylized graphical look that blends low-resolution textures and sparse polygonal detail with modern materials, lighting and post effects. The visuals are inspired by the early days of 3D graphics, like the style seen in PS1 titles and old DOS-era 3D games (before hardware acceleration and texture filtering was a thing).
