I do deliberate things like that, and I'd be super bummed :( I'm so sorry that happened.

Destroying the bottom level of a building and then standing back to watch things fall from the sky is so satisfying lol

Alot of them are broken atm and needs to be updated by the mod-maker :(

Please remember that this is an Early Access game, that means that things will be introduced per the dev plan specifically for feedback from the community. If you dislike a change or have suggestions for something different or new, then you provide that here or through the discord. You're only going to be able to do that by playing the game, not by reading other peoples opinions.

With enough feedback the devs may make adjustments to test out further balancing (they have already made tweaks from Hearth & Home) - Early Access games are a work in progress, and typically people buy them to be part of that process.

If you don't want to be part of that process, that's totally understandable! It's not for everyone. If that's the case, I'd hold off playing (and avoid buying EA games tbh) till you get the retail release announcement.

Only you will know if you like something when you try it :) no one else can tell you if you'll like it or not. Not everyone dislik... Read more

We paid money for this game, we have the right to be annoyed at ridiculous game direction.

You have the right to share your feedback, suggestions for new things or changes to existing things, and your feelings. You do not have the right to be uncivil or break Steam Community rules. Please keep that in mind.

Hi players.

We have identified some of the most common issues that at first glance may look like a bug, but aren't. Below are explanations and possible solutions for these situations.

First we want to talk about mods.

A mod is files you add to the game that aren't included with the initial Steam update.
Some mods are server side, like Valheim+, and those can also be broken for our big patch. So any weird issues for example you can't sprint anymore, or interact with things with the E button? Those are definitely due to mods.

When you get unity crash on launch, this is almost always connected to an update we have done, and the person behind a mod hasn't pushed an update for that mod, or you as player have a mod that isn’t up to date.

To manage your mods, go to the above folder and delete all folders EXCEPT [MonoBleedingEdge] and [Valheim_Data] And also delete all files EXCEPT steam_appid, UnityCrashHandler64, UnityPlayer, Valhe... Read more

It's just like real fishing. When the serpent tries to pull away from you, it drains stamina. When the line slacks, you recover stamina

I use Valheim+ for the advanced building mechanics. Maybe that's a good one for you to look into, you don't have to use any of the other options if you don't want.

Steam doing things :)

Edit: Multiple users reported this "issue" (because it's annoying), but Iron Gate has nothing to do with that. It is possible that Steam is downloading saves from the cloud, etc. - Maybe Steam Support knows more.

The new items will only spawn in unexplored areas of the map in the biomes they're from. So if you have explored all of your Plains biomes, then you definitely will need to start a new world. If you haven't explored much you're probably fine to continue in the world you're in.

I'd recommend not getting TO attached to any map till the game is in retail release as future content additions will likely have the same requirement.

I'm fine with losing hundreds of hours of progress because to me this is all part of the process and I'm holding off on my real passion project building till retail release & just having fun till then. But I know some people are not prepared to let go of their maps and it's going to hurt! So just keep that in mind, have fun & play, but be ready to lose it all lol

The devs will continuously work on improving the support for controllers, gamepads, etc. The H&H update for example already contained some improvements (but afaik this was for the Xbox Controller only).

What I wantef to ask is:
What are the kind of game forums did/do you moderate. Do you prefer a specific genre/type of game?

Thank you! With the constant growth of the gaming industry and the rise of indie game developers and indie/micro publishers, I slowly migrated to working mainly within this industry. Previously, I have worked on streaming media platforms (e.g., streaming tv) and e-commerce sites. However, my first preference is with games as I enjoy them the most. I like mystery, sci-fi, simulation, puzzle, and survival games in no particular order. Some folks like music discovery; I love game discover... Read more

In short, content moderators ensure that user-generated content (UGC) is safe for users, is not illegal, and follows a platform's rules & guidelines. Of course, there is more to it than that, but that should give you a decent summary.

It has definitely been an exciting week for sure! As much as I would like to say that I know how users will react to a patch, I can't until it actually lands. Whether it is bug fixes or content being released, the reactions are diverse, to say the least. Content moderators have to be ready for an influx of activity across the grid, bringing challenges. Still, there is plenty of joy to be had as well.

You say "professionally". Does that mean you're actually paid? What kind of schedule do you work?

Thank you! As a content moderator, I get paid, but my work for Iron Gate is only on a volunteer basis. I am responsible for 127,001 users on Valheim alone and over 1.5 million users on and off the Steam platform. Due to the volume of users, my schedule runs around the clock. Therefore, I use a series of tools to ensure my job is more manageable.

Take care.

I'm doing well, got back from a vacation. I wasn't offended in any way. It was a conflict of interest, sadly. I needed to be able to perform my duties. It comes with the territory, I'm afraid.
