Your GPU appears to be consistently crashing, it could be as simple as needing to reinstall your drivers. Please see: https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360034654593--PC-How-to-Resolve-GPU-Crashes

Could you share your Steam profile URL with me, please?

We’ve since rolled back to an older version of Easy Anti-Cheat, could you let me know if this is still an issue for any of you please?

After you dismiss that error, is a crash report displayed containing a long ‘GUID’ string? If so, please copy and paste it in here

Hmmmm, I can’t see anything that would interfere. You could try this:

  • Remove the ‘Certificates’ directory located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\EasyAntiCheat

  • Proceed to repair Easy Anti-Cheat using the EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

Then I recommend using the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option. Fingers crossed!

Rejects!

We’ve just pushed out an update to the (now ended) Closed Beta Test.

This update is tiny, and provides the uninstallers needed to remove residual Easy Anti Cheat files from your PC.

To run those, you simply need to uninstall the ‘Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Closed Beta Test’ from your Steam Library.

If you have already uninstalled the beta test from your library, but wish to remove those residual files, please reinstall the game, then proceed to uninstall it once more.

Thanks again for testing Darktide last weekend! We hope you had a blast. Stay tuned for further opportunities to test Darktide by following our social media ch...

This thread skirted around what’s decent and what’s not a fair few times, but I think overall, we’ve enough here to capture some general feedback points. Thanks.

Are we going to change any of what’s there? Absolutely not.

Are we going to add more choices down the line? Maybe. Probably?

Are they going to be lifted out of a catalogue? You bet they wont!

Anyone who’s played a Fatshark game before will know how we roll with this stuff.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all. We think all our cast of faces are beautifully befitting of the game.

We’re not mandated to use it at all and had freedom to use what we wanted or opt out entirely. 10C are hands off production. They help us market to untapped regions we prevously could not. Thats basically it.

Thanks for your reply! @InsaneScientist
We are getting a picture of what goes wrong. One issue is the one you mentioned when it just takes a while for characters to load in and we are working on a fix for that. Other issue is when the ready-up is skipped and your alone in your transport the whole time until mission starts, thats a bit trickier but I think we know what goes wrong in this case aswell…

Cheers!

No problem  the info is much appreciated! I’ll pass this on to development and see if we can reproduce it. Thanks again!

Did you happen to get a recording of the audio bug happening? would be very helpful to see/hear it. Though, no worries if not!

Curious as to what headphones/headset you use and any software? and your sound card and audio driver version.

You can check your audio driver version by:

  1. In your Start Menu search bar, search for ‘Device Manager’ and select it
  2. Select ‘Sound, video and game controllers’
  3. Right click on your sound card and select ‘Properties’
  4. Select the ‘Driver’ tab to see the ‘Driver Version’ details

Thank you!

Hi @aldy_rabe,

Thank you for the reports!

Can I just confirm, were these crashes all experienced when exiting and closing the game itself?

The GUID strings allow for us to search up data and logs for the crashes using our internal tools.

If you want to view some of this information in the logs yourself, you can find your console logs by navigating to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs

You can then locate crashes in logs by using CTRL+F and searching for <>

Older versions (pre EOS) do have some foibles when it comes to alternate OS compatibility for sure, as is seen in Verm 2. the EOS version didn’t exist when we developed and shipped V2, and unplugging one and plugging in the other is just out of scope. In terms of EAC and Linux in Darktide, there should be no real issues. The main issue may simply be (in the case of Steam Deck) that it doesn’t have the...

Im looking into this issue but I have some followup questions:
@InsaneScientist when this happened to you and your friends did it also skip the ready up view (as @Vessix describes) or did you go through the normal pre-mission step where everyone readys up first.

@Vessix did the team lead also skip the ready-up or just the 3 others in the team

Thanks!
