Hi @Arthwen,

This error usually indicates a corrupted Windows User Profile.

Check that you have the latest updates for Windows installed.

You can also try running the Windows System File Checker, which will replace any corrupted Microsoft DLLs.

  1. Launch ‘Command Prompt’ as an Administrator
  2. If prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, enter the password or select ‘Allow’
  3. Enter the command: sfc /scannow
  4. Restart your PC once complete

What is your upload speed, @Glordium? You can use a website such as https://www.speedtest.net/.

Could you have been playing on the ‘Modded’ realm? Your activity isn’t recorded there.

Hi @lacahuete

The crash report indicates you’re installation is incomplete and is missing a bundle file. Could you please try ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ via the following steps -

  1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify the Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to have been any activity on account #1 between May 2020 and February 2021, and account #2 between March 2020 and February 2021. Regrettably, I won’t be able to assist in this situation.

Unfortunately no clue on this one, if you could send me your console log from the next time you encounter a crash I may be able to spot a pattern!

Heroes!

Today we are happy to introduce the latest DLC for Vermintide 2: Return to the Reik.

Expanding on the adventures of the Ubersreik Five, Lohner has a critical task that needs undertaking.

So, looks like I’ve got a job for you in one of your old stomping grounds. Some dozy merchant’s got his ship wedged good and proper between the banks of the River Reik, and there are vital cargo vessels backed up all the way from Marienburg to Nuln. I woul...

No problemo! @dastardlydalton did you use the same email address to contact EAC as you use here on the forum?

Sorry to hear that @dastardlydalton :frowning:

This will need to be escalated to Easy Anti-Cheat. Usually they prefer to speak with our players directly, and you will receive a quick response time if you contact them here: Easy Anti-Cheat

Alternatively, I can reach out on your behalf but please be aware this will increase ...

Apologies, I realise I haven’t replied but I have seen all of your responses. Just trying to collate the information I’ve been receiving and look for patterns.

Excellent! Thank you. Looking at the logs, I suspect this crash may have been patched on the 23rd. The difficulty is another issue in itself however, which we’ll need to look in to, but you may be able to play without crashing at least!

Sorry to hear that. I don’t think updating the BIOS is too “out there”, it’s evident there’s some sort of rampant incompatibility between the Ryzens and some motherboards that requires a BIOS update. I recommend this because it’s proven to work successfully for many, many players with improvements outside of Vermintide 2 also.

Ultimately there will be an underlying explanation for your PC crashing outside of Vermintide 2 itself, most likely hardware-related. I was hoping the BIOS could be the one-shot panacea that has worked for so many but in your case it’s likely to be a process of elimination.

I wish I could solve this immediately for you but that won’t be possible. You’ll want to check your overclocks, check for overheating, run the Windows System File Checker, etc. More information here: ...

Thanks @dastardlydalton

Unfortunately the crash reports are only providing a limited amount of information, and don’t show a clear indicator of the problem.

It’s very much a shot in the dark, but it may be that something external is interfering. Could you try a Selective Startup?

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue persists

Thank you! Is any crash report produced when this occurs? (A pop-up window containing a long ‘GUID’ string)

It would be super to see a crash report the next time this occurs, if possible.

Otherwise, if no crash report is produced, it would be appreciated if you could send us the console log corresponding with the session:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs

I’ve responded to your submission via the Support Portal with a couple of questions.

The BIOS update is the ultimate solution here, will ensure maximum compatibility with your Ryzen 5 and will benefit you outside of Vermintide 2 also. If you’d rather not update your BIOS, I’m happy to contact Steam and request that they issue you a refund.
