Have you tried the Verify the Integrity of Game Files option?

1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library sidebar
2. Select ‘Properties’
3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
4. Select the ‘Verify the Integrity of Game Files’ button. This may take several minutes
5. When complete, close and reopen Steam
6. Launch Vermintide 2

The error being produced is DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR.

Could you please ensure your ‘user_settings’ CONFIG log is not set to ‘Read Only’ by:

1. Press the Windows key + R
2. Enter %appdata% and select ‘OK’
3. Navigate to \AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2
4. Right-click the ‘user_settings’ CONFIG log
5. Select ‘Properties’
6. Ensure the ‘General’ tab is selected
7. Ensure the ‘Read Only’ checkbox is not checked

I have to ask - do you have either ASUS Aura Sync, RGB Fusion, iCUE or any other RGB controller running on your PC?

This actually looks like an issue with your GPU driver - your driver version is listed as ‘obsolete’ within the crash data. Likely you need to perform a clean re-installation of your GPU drivers.

The Connection Timeout error is unfortunately still a mystery to us for the most part. It is usually the result of a localised networking issue.

The difference is blizzard has a support team of thousands of folks who speak all the languages. (I know as I was one of them for a time!). We don’t have those resources sadly but will accept reports of players to [email protected]

You should also steam block those players to reduce the chance of encountering them again

Then start the setup launcher

So, the EAC fix for wine worked for an older version of EAC, and they pushed a new EAC version around two days ago which broke it.

The EAC version is game specific, and FS does a good job keeping it up to date (sadly for us Linux peeps).

It’s live now. No action needed on your end, it should be automatic.

Hm, I saw the GPU and automatically assumed that to be the culprit. But I see now you might be missing a DLL.

Is Soon™ at the top, at the bottom? How many rungs?

This is commonly associated with a corrupted Windows user profile. You may need to create a new Windows user profile.
