Season 2 was intended to start fully in December. This update would contain the first of three free maps as part of the ‘Curse of Drachenfels’ update, alongside ‘Lohner’s Emporium of Wonders’ for everyone, Quick Play enabled Weaves for Winds of Magic owners together with other considerations as noted in the Season 2 blog post. Given our focus on ‘game health’ these plans have adjusted slightly. With the recent success of the latest experimental test we are bringing the changes into a Beta Test.

The Beta will begin on December 16th.

The year is rapidly coming to an end, and we have some news on our progress towards launching with Season 2 for Vermintide 2 on PC.

This answer is a bit technical, but that is required since we are debugging Internet oppressive practices. I am assuming you are using Windows and don’t have easy access to another OS.

To test the following you will need curl, available at https://curl.haxx.se/windows/ for Windows (included in most Linux distros and OSX).

Use the command prompt (cmd or powershell) to enter all commands here.

Use nslookup to find the hosts for 5107.playfabapi.com with Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), i.e.

> nslookup 5107.playfabapi.com 1.1.1.1
# should give something like

That worked. The old Dryad’s Rest doesn’t seem to go away though(not that it matters in regards to the quest completion).

Have you recently made any changes to your computer’s hosts? (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc)

I ask as changes to the hosts can result in this error for players that aren’t based in Russia or Turkey.

If not, I’d recommend that you scan your PC for viruses and malware.

That is my bad. I accidently placed a spawn location there
We have a fix on the way but if you cancel the contract and redo it you should (hopefully since the location is random) get a reachable spawn

Can you verify that https://5107.playfabapi.com works? I.e. a blank page with working encryption?

Can’t seem to enter Dryad’s Rest to continue the mission. Tried going to main menu and logging back in but still had the same problem.

the logs would be handy for sure. Console and DMPs if you have them.

Issue #1

If I change my graphic settings and the game requests a restart to implement them; the game will crash if I hit “restart now” instead of “Quit” and closing the game manually.

Issue #2

When starting up the game for the first time or resetting/reinstalling the game, the settings launcher will tell me it cannot recognize my PC’s hardware and automatically set everything to “low.”

I’m on an i9-9900k with an RTX 2080 Super.

Can provide a console log when I experience my next crash. Not given any message or ID number in the crash reporter box.

Which country are you playing from, @Umudi?

Additionally, which Anti-Virus/Firewall is he using?

Have you tried repairing Vermintide 2 as well in Steam? (I assume you have)

Which version of Windows are you using?

Do you have the lines above this one? Might be helpful.

Could you give some more information? Perhaps a log?
