Certainly it could be a case of the GPU not sitting correctly, so if the other solutions aren’t of any help it may be worth re-seating the GPU.

1. Press the Windows key + R
2. Enter %appdata% and select the ‘OK’ button
3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2
4. Right-click user_settings.config and select ‘Properties’

Under ‘Attributes’, is the ‘Read-only’ checkbox selected?

If so, please deselect it and apply the changes.

This appears to be GPU-related, if this is a recurring issue please see if there’s any improvement by switching to DirectX 11 within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu.

So in 2 of the reports I can see that your GPU has essentially disconnected during play which is usually indicative of a driver issue.

I’d recommend running through the solutions here.

@Mentis Yeah I don’t believe this is mod-related, it’s been reported in the past too.

Are you using the ‘Player List Plus’ mod?

As above, it’s poorly described but the intended behaviour. We need to work on that.

We’ve heard of this occurring but are having problems reproducing it on our end, it’d be amazing if by chance you ever manage to catch a recording of this happening!

Think we’ve identified the problem here, it’ll be addressed in an upcoming patch!

I’ll pop this over to development, but in the unlikely event that you happen to witness this again, it would be amazing if you could catch a screenshot.

I’m going out on a limb here, but it does sound like the “cavey effect” some players hear with spacial sound enabled. For some it solves some problems, for others it creates other problems. Give it a toggle.

@Mentis I do a complete run-through of the posts made here in ‘Bugs’ once a week. My run-through for this week will be done this afternoon.

I have multiple other platforms to cover but I do skim through ‘Bugs’ once a day to look for blocker issues, issues that I know have already been raised or those that need more information, and mark accordingly.

Not really too terribly difficult? Game’s balanced for it, feels fine.
