DRAGONFLIGHT SEASON 3

• MYTHIC+
  • The Everbloom will be available for this week’s Mythic+ test.

BATTLEGROUND BLITZ BRAWL

• EYE OF THE STORM
  • Slightly increased resource rate from bases.
  • Added a timer widget that will display during the 15 second period when bases are inactive until the next set are active.
• All rune buff respawn rates (including Shadow sight) decreased to 60 seconds (was 90 seconds). This includes already existing power runes in addition to the new ones introduced in the brawl.
• Various Power Runes have been added to Eye of the Storm, Battle for Gilneas, Arathi Basin, and Deepwind Gorge.

Bug Fixes and Adjustments

• Fixed an issue causing various abilities in the Professor Putricide encounter to occasionally deal more or less damage or healing than intended.

Hello Mistweavers!

We have a few updates planned for Guardians of the Dream and we’d like to share some of our thoughts here.

Defensiveness and Healing Elixir Updates

Mistweaver is squishier than we would like, particularly for a primarily melee-based healer, and its defensive toolkit is based mainly around active spell use. We don’t feel it’s appropriate to ask Mistweavers to actively manage nearly every part of their defensive kit to play at the highest level, so we want to explore passivity for Healing Elixir.

Icecrown Citadel

We’ve received a lot of feedback and bug reports from Icecrown Citadel testing, and we plan to have one more raid test next week from Tuesday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m. PDT to Friday, September 29 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.

We’ll post an update with bug fixes and other adjustments specific to Icecrown Citadel sometime early next week.

Fixed an issue that prevented Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest from being awarded to players below level 70.

Quests

The weekly Time Rifts quest “When Time Needs Mending” can now be completed in a raid.

Demon Hunter talent updates will be starting to roll in as they become ready, starting with Havoc tree changes in this week’s PTR build. In some cases, talents may be missing or marked as a work in progress [WIP], but there are enough changes to the Havoc tree and individual talents that we’d like to get it in players’ hands to begin gathering feedback. Vengeance and Class tree changes are coming soon.

• Spectral Sight cooldown is now 1 minute 30 seconds (was 1 minute, and 30 seconds with rank 2 talented).
• Fodder to the Flame demon now revealed by Spectral Sight.
• Fodder to the Flame demon now takes fatal damage from Eye Beam/Fel Devastation in addition to Throw Glaive.

BATTLEGROUND BLITZ BRAWL

• Temple of Kotmogu resource acquisition rate increased in the middle areas of the map.
• Shadow Sight’s duration increased to 12 seconds (was 8 seconds).

    • Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope (2) Set Bonus – Now triggers from consuming Runic Power (was previously triggering on consuming Bone Shield charges).
  • Frost
    • Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope (4) Set Bonus – Chance to trigger reduced to 30% (was 40%) and reduces the cooldown of Empower Rune Weapon by 6 seconds (was 10 seconds).
    • Fixed an issue with Chill Streak not decrementing a bounce when it bounced off of the Death Knight.

On Friday, September 22, starting at 4:00 p.m. PDT, come join members of the World of Warcraft development team on the Iridikron PTR realm as we playtest the new Superbloom public events that are being added in the Guardians of the Dream update.

The Superbloom is the new major public scenario event in the Emerald Dream. You will follow an Ancient of Life, Sprucecrown, as he begins a ritual to bloom life all around Amirdrassil, the budding world tree. He will need your help with various tasks along the way, such as watering flowers and pulling weeds. But danger also awaits, as the Primalists will not stand idly by while we empower the tree with life.

The event begins at the start of the hour, every hour. For the purposes of this PTR playtest, we’re going to be starting at 4:00 p.m., so we encourage you to log on at 3:45 to prepare your character and get setup!

In the Guardians of the Dream patch, there are some new public events that feed into each other in the Emerald Dream zone.

The Superbloom

We’ve ended this ICC test period, and we’re planning to open the raid for a third round of testing next week, after we’ve implemented fixes that we’re working on. We’ll open ICC again on Tuesday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, and conclude that test period at 5:00 p.m. PDT on Friday, September 29.

The current PvP season in Wrath Classic is ending soon. The evening before weekly maintenance, at 10:00 p.m. (October 2 in this region), Season 7 will end. There will be an off-season period until the 3.4.3 patch goes live.

The 3.4.3 patch will then mark the beginning of Season 8 on October 10 in this region.
